Gordon Murray:
The moment I drove the ''little'' NSX, all the benchmark cars-Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini-I had been using as references in the development of my car vanished from my mind, said Murray. ''Of coarse the car we would create, the McLaren F1, needed to be faster than the NSX, but the NSX's ride quality and handling would become our new design target.''
-Im sure this has been brought up numerous times before but since finally getting my NSX ive learned that the NSX was so influential on so many levels that it literally changed the evolution of super cars perhaps like none before it or since..In any case would the F1 had ended up looking and performing more like an amalgamation of the stated cars...I have to believe it would've been a much different car..

yes brought up many times but such a cool statement from the man who designed a true supercar, its why the NSX has such a sweet spot in many a car enthusiasts heart it helped change the game even though it didn't lead it

I met Gordon Murray at a reception and when I told him I had a supercharged NSX he became instantly interested and we had a great 1:1 conversation.
