Newbie here - what is a leakdown test? Just bought my first NSX couple weeks ago. Had local dealer do a PPI. Leakdown test not mentioned or part of their routine.

Agree, that's a really fair price for a 55,000 mile 1991 in fine shape

regardless of our armchair opinions, get a full PPI with leakdown test

I'd DD that car without thinking hard about it

Compression test helps you determine the health of the motor since it measures the pressure each cylinder can generate. If compression is low in one or more cylinders then a leak down test will help you find out more about where the problem could be.
