I moved to NYC two weeks ago and am looking for a job in finance. I have about 15 months experience in the industry and interviewed with a hedge fund for an ops position last week. They extended me an offer, but it is a dead end job. I would be doing monkey work for the entire duration so I am leaning towards declining.
My concern is that if I hold out until I find something I like more (something that can lead me to front office), it may never happen or I might find myself regretting not taking this job due to financial reasons. My gut tells me no, but my bank account says to take it (I have enough to stay out here another 2-4 months). Huge gamble, but I have to say no...Thanks for letting me rant...
