The wait it killing me

I was already cleared with Honda/Acura for the NSX lease at that point the dealer took my deposit and I signed all the paperwork. Dealer has told me that the final paperwork check now has to be processed to insure accuracy and to verify all the numbers. This is a little more complicated because I am located in a different state. When it's all processed the dealer will receive notice of funding from Honda/Acura and will be cleared of all financial obligations to the car and then they will release it to me. If I lived a few miles away in the same state they may have already let me take the car. This is speculation on my part although it is the way I understand the business to work.

I'm just not a a patient person so this is a real test for me. :)

This is absolutely the most likely the scenario. Paperwork on out of state deals can be a nightmare and if they let the car go and suddenly the contract was denied because the tax or license fees were a few dollars off and they need you to re-sign new contracts that can be quite the headache. Not that I am speaking from past experience or anything.

I guess it wasn't just my deal that took forever to get done/approved.

It took 12 days from agreement on price to when the dealer would release the car to the shipper. I kept explaining to my sales guy how my past Porsche deals were handled in about an hour. He said that each NSX deal had to be approved by the dealership owner, and then submitted to Acura for review, even after my credit app was approved. Strange.

Anyway, car was put on a truck this morning in CT. Gonna be a long 8 - 10 day wait for it to get to San Diego.

Maybe you will get lucky like me. Car loaded on Friday in Pennsylvania arrived Sunday in Utah.

The wait is definitely killing me as well. Picked-up in IL Monday with delivery to SoCal Friday... just in time for the rain... :rolleyes2:

sonystyle02, seeing her get unloaded sure is a wonderful moment. The NSX is so much better looking in person than any pic can convey.
Enjoy! :)

Thanks bud but unfortunately this is a "loading" shot. The unloading shot comes Friday!

You took one from IL, drat.

Yep. Called nearly every dealership with either a Nouvelle or Casino car. No one else was able to match this deal and on top of that I received great service from the team @ Acura Libertyville.

That BLUE in the air is simply KILLER! Congrats

Thanks! Can't wait to get her on the ground and then closer to the ground once my iLift system gets delivered!

Double drat, Libertyville is the next town from where I work, so I could have seen that car all the time if they sold it to a local.

Me also, still waiting after two month....

But I am waiting for the snow melt...lol Canada here! 60cm snow last few week....
