How to "up" the headlights?

I'm trying to install the new xenon bulbs and the instructions are great except for one little tidbit. There is a reference to a "button" that will allow the headlamps to be exposed without providing power to them. I don't know where it is. Can anyone give me information as to where it is?

Many thanks,

Don

Did your car come with an owner's manual? The amount of information in that little book simply boggles the mind! :)

I am going to agree with my friend Hugh....I would never read a manual....never ,never, never,.....but after finally reading them....they do seem to have alot of information.....all these years I thought i HAD to guess about everything.....or blindly figure it out by trial and error....

THANK YOU HUGH !!!!!!!

Manual are nice but mine tells how to remove the bulb but not how to raise the headlight. Even the service manual doesn't explain it.

Make sure you're looking at the owner's manual for an Acura NSX. :)
It's also covered in the service manual on pages 23-180 and 23-181.

If you are just replacing the bulbs, you don't want to raise the headlights. Helps to have small hands....

p.s. I picked up my car from pikes peak last week, you weren't kidding, its freakin' amazing now.......

So where did the stumble come from Will???????

Don: How do you like the lights??? I might get those or just bite the bullet for HID for my drive to california.

It serves 2 purposes (that I can think of): To facilitate washing the lights, also in really nasty cold (or ice), you leave the lights flipped up when you shut the car off to prevent them from getting stuck in the down position. Every car I've ever seen with flip up lights has had this switch.

Koolaid- Not sure what was causing the stumble, Paul said the 95-96 year cars are somewhat finnicky due to the it being the first 2 years of OBDII as well as the drive by wire throttle. They had to reflash the computer a few times before all was well.
