when i first drove my NSX, the shift were hard as hell, but when I got used to it, I shifted it like nothing. Shifts smoothly to me.. My friend shifted it, and he said something about changing the synchrose or something?!
I was like, thats how it's made..
or am I wrong?

I found the same thing on my 92nsx, there is a lot going on during shifting such as foot on the clutch, gas pedal and hand on the stick. You got good at shifting is what i would surmise and you know how to treat a clutch. Now, if you are noticing more play or movment in the stick while in first gear during acceleration and deceleration, that would indicate Snap-ring problem.

But i dont know what year car you drive.

I found the same situation when i bought my 2001 Boxster, shifting seemed hard and tight and after i got used to the car, it became very smooth. Syncro problems can be heard and dont sound good. Syncros just spin the contiguous gears up to spead so you can make the shift without the stick popping out of gear. "The old saying, if you can't find em'...grind em' " Arg. Hope thats not what you are feeling in the stick. Dont go ripping out a tranny till you know for sure.

The actual engagement of a gear using the shift lever on upshifts should be very smooth with little extra force required.

I believe it feels like a well maintained bolt action rifle. Very smooth, consistent, mechanical action.

Downshifting is another story and has many additional variables but if upshifting is difficult - you may want to have it checked out or at least consider new MTF.

shifting tends to be rough when cold..
but when you started it up and run for a while its smooth..

yea i see.. my car is a 91' , and is out of snap ring range.. my shifting is smooth, but my 4th gear is a lil hard to get in.. i have to kinda of stick it in their more.. but when i'm racing I'll be probably only be using 3 gears at the most
