Yep, didn't run my own car, but got a chance to take a spin in a Z06.

Man, those things are fast as hell. The guy I rode with was a decent driver, however he wasn't using the steering wheel to steer throughout the course. That vette had so much power he was using his accelerator to steer that thing the whole time. I know that isn't the quickest way through the course, but it was an amazing show of just how powerful those cars are. He was in second gear the whole time and the power band of that car was just infinite.

All in all, the vettes ruled the competition. Best couple times were vettes with S2k's and STi's following close behind. Miata's ran quick times as well and were very consitent.

I was itching to run my car, but I didn't register in time. Next time....

400 TQ is fun! :)

I didn't do great with Autocross in the 93 because I think the gearing is too tall for the course I did. However, with an 05 I think you will do much better.

I was wondering the same thing, never got above 60 for the whole track. My 2nd tops out at 72.

In the 30 and 40 mph range in second gear the car is a dog. I'm wondering how well I would fare.

Guess i'll have to find out.

I did my first AutoX this weekend in my 91. I never got out of 1st gear it was so tight and twisty. On the final mini straight I bounced off the rev limiter just as I was passing the timing boxes. I think 2nd gear woulda been a dog had I needed to be in it at any point. On a faster course that could be an issue...
