Help with present for my hubby!

Hi, everyone,

Yes, I was an NSX-hater before my husband bought his car. However, I must say that I have been converted.
Anyway, here I am, posting on the very board that steals my husband away from me, with a desperate cry for help...
My hubby's birthday is coming up, and I know that he wouldn't like anything better than something to do with NSX's. Since his big birthday gift WAS the NSX that he bought, I just wanted to get him little side gifts.
Anyone know of a place (preferably a website) that I could get a poster or model car of plastic kit or die-cast model?

Or perhaps, let me hear the reactions of some other NSX die-hard fans: a toy model/poster or another titanium key?

All right, thanks so much in advance for any help, and I hope to hear from you guys soon!

I would also appreciate any other gift ideas...

Thanks!
Sincerely,
P.kitty

How about a new shift knob that doubles as a short shifter?

<a href="http://www.daliracing.com/v666-5/catalog/index_browse_part.cfm?focus=391">Click here</a>

Or a <a href="http://www.daliracing.com/v666-5/catalog/index_browse_part.cfm?focus=505">smart shift</a>

Or a <a href="http://www.daliracing.com/v666-5/catalog/index_browse_part.cfm?focus=385">smart TCS</a>

Or a <a href="http://www.daliracing.com/v666-5/catalog/index_browse_part.cfm?focus=96">smart-tenna</a> - my favorite if your NSX has the CD changer.

Good luck! Let us know what you get. BTW - you win the cool wife of the day award...

How about a polo shirt or a jacket from the NSX Club of America? (Click here for more details.) Or, you could buy him a membership in the club if he's not already a member.

E-bay has a lot of dicast models. Do a search under "NSX" and you'll pull up a bunch. Personally I wouldn't mind the supercharger either but you'll be spending a little more than $50.00 (try about $6500.00 more

The Nikko R/C NSX ($20 Toys'R'Us, Walmart) or Kyosho die-cast NSX ($40, eBay & other sources-do a search for Kyosho) are good bets for your budget.

What ever you get, don't disclose it here! If he's anywhere near obsessesd as we are, he'll be showing up here in no time!

P. Kitty,

What exactly does he have now, as far as, NSX accessories?

This will help narrow your decision with the gift.

All those posts have great ideas. I am sure that your husband will love anything that you choose.

I agree with Matteni. P. Kitty is the cool wife of the day

I agree with some of the other guys here, a die cast model to match his car would be really cool, and he would really like it.

Ebay is a great place to go for that and it's unlikely you will get stuck for more than $50.

If he visits this site, isn't he gonna see your post?!??!

Hey, everyone,
Thanks for all the great suggestions - I will look all of them up!
Anyway, I suppose I can't tell you the color of his car, and I hope he doesn't think it's me. He figures that I would rather torture myself than visit a car forum, so hopefully, he won't find out.
I am as illiterate with forums (does my email address show up???) as I am with cars, so I guess I'd better hope he has no clue who this is!

But thanks SO MUCH for all the great input! No wonder my husband raves so much about this group.

I will look the sites up, and either get a matching color model or an accessory.

Thanks again!

Persian Kitty, click here (or on the "profile" link at the top of this page) then check the "no" radio button on the "Keep your email address viewable to other users when you post notes?" option to hide your email addie.

Good luck! You have a very lucky hubby indeed!

He can find out who you are by clicking the little envelope icon (picture) above each of your posts.

To prevent your e-mail address from being visible, here's what to do:

1. Click on the word "profile" near the top of this page, under where it says "post new topic" and "post reply", on a line that reads:

profile | register | preferences | faq | search

2. Enter your username and password if they're not already filled out, and click where it says "submit identification".

3. Go to the bottom of the screen, where it says, "Keep your email address viewable to other users when you post notes?" and click the circle next to the word "no". Then click where it says "submit modifications".

After you do that, the envelope icon will no longer appear above your posts, so he will not know who you are.

P Kitty,
Great choice, they love fun things for their cars...don't limit yourself to the models though. What color is his car? Zanardi addition floormats are black with red stiching (very snazzy), different shiftknobs, titanium or the type R, which is black suede with red piping (think of the car as having its own wardrobe) the Dali smartenna if he's got a cd changer, a car cover if it has to ever sit outside....then maybe for Christmas you work up to Big Brake kits

*LOL* Everyone checked her email address in case it was THEIR WIFE getting them a present!

...and everyone suggests what they'd like for the birthday.

ANOTHER SUGGESTION: Depending on how soon his birthday is, another good gift idea is the <A HREF="www.getawayinstockholm.com">Getaway in Stockholm 3</A> DVD, which features an NSX... a must for every NSX owner/dreamer. It's under US$50 and you can buy it from home.
