According to a Parts Manager at a local NSX dealership, the cost to upgrade/replace the front end of an NSX with the 2002 face-lift is ~$6,000. This cost includes all needed items (i.e. hood, bumper, lights, quarter panels etc.).

American Honda is stating the 2002 part numbers are the SAME as pre-2002 part numbers.

It was also mentioned the rear spats would also fit.

Pursuant to my conversation with the parts department,it my understanding all panel and necessary hardware is available to upgrade to the 2002 look.

Would you spend the money to upgrade the front and rear of your NSX?

This topic has a lot of past posts, but the preceeding one doesn't list the price for the new hood or the new fenders that, I am told, you will also need to replace,

Hood yes, fenders no.

Frankly, I couldn't see why it was necessary to replace the fenders. But that's what I was told by someone on this site.

Likewise, I can't see why it would be necessary to replace the bumper since the light bucket appears to slightly overlap on top of the recess in the bumper where it meets the headlights. I don't think any of past threads have directly answered this question before it is dismissed by the Forums Nazi. Both the guy that Chris helped in Seattle (I believe the '92 painted blue) & Enrique Thompson's NSXes have the 2002 headlights using pre-2002 aftermarket bumper clips. I realize that this fact doesn't necessarily mean that a '91 oem bumper clip would fit since the aftermarket ones are made out fiberglass and there may have been modifications to those bumpers. But still, I think that the minimum required for the 2002 lights to fit would be '91 fenders, '91 bumper, aftermarket fiberglass hood (can be trimmed to match curvature of 2002 headlights). Let be know otherwise.
