I really wish I could afford a set of Volks CE28/LE28s - but I can't find $2500-$3000.

The Gram Lights 57Optimise have a similar look. I know the Volks are forged, while the Gram Lights are cast (and slightly heavier). The GL wheels are painted with a lip but not a polished lip.

What else is there to know about Gram Lights? Are they kind of a poor man's Volk?

Any preferences on bright silver or light gray on a 97 Formula Red?

Gram lights and Volks are both made by Rays Engineering so I don't see any disadvantage but if your perfer the volks I would wait/save up and get the ones you really want.

I would also suggest waiting for the lighter forged wheels. I went from 94+ 16/17" wheels to HP evo's 18/19 and could'nt believe the difference in weight and acceleration loss. Big mistake on my part. I'll be going lighter in the near future hopefully.

I will go 17/18, not 18/19. I will also go with wheels similar in weight to the OEM 16/17 or lighter. I appreciate the recommendation to wait and buy what I really want, but $350 per wheel is a lot less than $700. I might never get any wheels if I wait for the Volks.

Those GT-Ns are very nice. Too bad they aren't 17/18.

Anyone have a thought on silver vs. gray or gunmetal on a Formula Red 97?

Yeah i know. If they were 17/18s they would have been scooped up a long time ago.
Gunmetal is nice on red.
