Went to Crystal Cove today, you can read more about it here:

Long story short. . . I didn't enjoy it as much as I could have. . .

Back to the issue at hand, anyone know where I can get 4 WORK rims repaired in the LA/OC/SD area? or would they even be repairable? They are a 2-piece wheel, welded together (fake rivets). Pictures:

Wheel 1 (bend is on the right side of pic, at about 3 o'clock)

Wheel4 has a minor bend, almost unnoticable, but its there.

take it to Marco at Advanced Wheels in Anaheim.
they'll fix it good as new. you'll never even know they were bent.
they got really good prices and very fast turn around times.
a lot of local guys take their volk rims in after canyon run incidents and they come back brand new.
i got mine fixed there.

Agree with recommendation of Marco. Been going to Marco/David for past couple years, and he's 'restored' several of my wheels.

Awesome guys thanks. I'll give them a ring again on Monday. . . BTW, their number has changed to (909) 598-1144, so update your address books!

Sorry to hear what happened.

Advanced Wheel repair repaired and repainted all 4 of my wheels. David is great when they are "not moving", he did perfect color match and fixed curb rashed on all 4 wheels. This is probably the best wheel repair shop in OC when they are "not moving".

However my experience is by no mean anywhere near close to postive, in fact extremely negative.

1. I waited whopping 2 months for my wheels (originally quoted 1 week:mad: ), They disappeared from the old shop at Costa Mesa with no prior notice/no contact after I dropped off my wheels for repair. When I stopped by to pick up the wheels at the date promised. Shop were completely empty. That feeling I had when I saw the empty shop is hard to describe. I then Found out from the shop next door that they had moved to new location in Anaheim. David did not mentioned a damn thing about moving when I dropped off my wheels

2. Marco ripped me off while David wasn't around for additional mounting fee privately in cash and did not clear coat the wheels after the repaint. I knew he was trying to rip me off, I am used to people taking advantage of my kindness and I just wanted my wheels back, so I just paid whatever and tought of it as a charity. Maybe he really need it. If he try to pull this off on you, tell David.

3. The finish on my wheels is very darn fragile, you can cut through the paint with your nail, I am not over exaggerating. I had to spray clear wheel coating all 4 wheels by myself, wet sand and polish. The wheels will need another repaint eventually.

I have got to be the most unlucky/mistreated customer they have ever had.

I have had a complete different experience with them...I took my two bent rims in(one I thought was toast) and had them back in two days and couldn't tell where the damage had been:eek: Very impressed and very affordable:smile: highly recomended

Also found out their new address:
929 Fairway Drive
Walnut, CA 91789

Google seems to think its:
929 Fairway Drive
Rowland Heights, CA 91748

But we'll see. I'm going to drop them off tomorrow.

So what kind of prices are you guys paying? I'm interested because I want to get 8 wheels refinished and don't have much time to shop around at other repair shops.
