GB: NSX-R Wing Carbon Fiber 10 pcs ONLY

I had started a paypal dispute when I found that I have 45 days and not 30, so Im giving you more time.

I need an update NOW. They should be shipping around now.

My sources from Seibon tell me that the next batch of these spoilers aren't going to be ready till at least mid-March. Just sit tight.

Greg IM'd me yesterday and said that my wing would ship TODAY!!!

Greg - I still owe you some for additional shipping to Canada. Pls confirm that it is shipping today and I will get that to you.

Shameless plug, but if anyone wants a wing in yellow.. I have one and would like to sell and get the CF. I'd be flexible on price too. Save you on paying for pain...

My wing arrived today. Looks great. I have to remove a TON of tape from the car that was holding the previous wicket spoiler on, so it is going to take a bit to install it, but I placed it on the car and everything lines up just fine.

Although the wiring for the light is on the wrong side (I will have to see if I can weave it through) and there is a 4th bolt on each side where my car only has three holes in the trunk. I will just keep that one empty. Not sure why its there.

Mine arrived today; will be interesting to see how CF looks on Berlina Black, as it looks great on White and Formula Red. May wind up painting it, have a pretty good local shop specializing in Honda and Acura.

I might wait to paint until I've got all the stuff here for the '02 conversion I'm starting sometime this year (a few small bits, one HID controller and cable, and the foam core yet to get in...) The conversion is going to be a week off from work at least; heck, I've even setup a database in Bento just for tracking all the bits and pieces.

Two thumbs up, Greg!

My wing is on. I finished it in the dark as I had a ton of 3M mounting tape to get through (tip: use an eraser pad for pinstripes, worked great).

From what Ive seen so far, the weave is good. I am quite happy with the fit too. I will try to snap some pics in the next few days.

There is however one thing that Im less than pleased about. The wiring for the brake light is ON THE WRONG SIDE!!! It was a enormous PITA to weave it (thankfully it is long enough to cross over) through the internal part of the trunk, but I was able to get that done.

I was very happy to see that the wing fits very well with the deck lid spoiler that comes with 02+s, too.

All in all, very happy with it now that it is on, but I cannot believe the wiring.

My stock wiring is drivers side, this wing is passengers.

Bio,
I got the same wing and was also perturbed about the wiring for the brake light coming out the passenger side of the wing. They really copied the right-hand drive car to the letter!

Anyway, it looked like a real pain to move the car's wiring to the right side, so I decided to snake the brake light wire inside the wing to the left side and use a wire coat hanger to grab the wire and pull it out that 4th hole on the left.

I couldn't use the OEM rubber weatherproofing boot because the hole did not line up exactly in the same place as the hole on the wing, but I got the job done without too much fuss.

I'm not yet sold on the carbon wing on Berlina Black car so I'll hold off on selling my OEM wing for a while. I think the weave and the clearcoat looks really good. There are some empty black lines at some of the edges where two CF weaves meet that could maybe have been tighter, but overall the wing looks great. It's definitely an acceptable alternative to paying $1400+.

I snapped some quick iPhone pics of the fit and the weave.

I am quite pleased with this wing. I may be the first to put it on a 02+ with the deck lid spoiler also.

Siebon should be contacted on the wiring crossup. It is a major PITA to cross back, not impossible but a PITA. I figured I was the only one with the prob.

Nope, already beat you to it  It gives you nice downforce doesn't it!?

PS: Do you feel that it adds drag (the wing) at higher speeds..? My wing came with the car, but I can't help but feel that it adds significant drag that robs it of high speed acceleration, but I want to know if it's that's just my experience and it's placebo...

Dude - look what I pulled off to give this wing a try. This NSXR wing is like butter!

But back to Greg's group buy. Im very happy with my NSX-R wing even though the wiring was stupid. Id buy it again.

Nice, I can't wait to get one...

can u send me a price of what it would cost to ship to Ontario, Canada
if you need a postal code pm me

I'm a little confused after looking closely at these pictures.
The pic shown in the first post looks like the front edge of it is rounded off and yet the ones in the link provided on Zero-Cool and Bio's car looks more like it is squared off. More like the DF version.
Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me or it is the angle of the shot of the part but they clearly look different in that area.
Can someone clarify that for me?
Thanks
