i wouldn't imagine Ferrari, Audi, Mercedes or Porsche putting out an unfinished car. and definitely not Lexus or any other Japanese factory...

and I think that is to their detriment.
The only honest criticism they'll get is from independent third parties.
It hasn't hurt mclaren and personally I see it as a refreshing approach. If Apple did the same they would have avoided antenna-gate and bend-gate!
If they did it with the original NSX perhaps we can finally see some generational continuity.
