Ferrari + NSX "Spring Fling" Sign Up!

That's cool Lucas. I'll let you know if that drive comes to fruition. You can always ride with me if you'd like. I think in that particular case, the drive portion might not be all that long. We're primarily getting together to figure out details over lunch on whether we're going to organize our own chapter of the NSX Club of America.

Hello everyone,

Sounds great!! Count me in as well.

Sanders
2000 Yellow NSX
Confirmed
Just myself so if anyone wants a ride there's room
Lunch sounds good

I look forward to meeting everyone for the 1st time!!

Sounds like I gotsta be there!

I'm supposed to be sailing my boat back to National that weekend - It probably won't be ready anyway!

Gents, I'm busy organizing this June 10th drive. Does anyone else want to take the responsibility for setting up a shorter drive/lunch meeting to discuss the Ontario chapter of NSXCA for the 27th?

Stu: Did you get a chance to ask Randy about the drive on the 10th? I'd love to see him bring out one of his classics :)

Volunteers Needed For Lead/sweeper

Due to the number of cars, we will likely need to break this into 2 or 3 run groups with a lead and a sweeper in radio contact. If anyone wants to volunteer for either of these, please let me know. We will have some extra radio's on hand, but if you want to pick up your own set, grab a set of FRS or GMRS radio's. GMRS has much better range and these can be picked up at Costco, Home Depot, Radio Shack etc. Last year I grabbed the Cobra Microtalk GMRS with headphone for $79.99 at Costco.

*** Route Change ***

I have some bad news (good news for some!), but we will be changing the route from up north to probably milton/missisauga area. My buddy went up to do the route this weekend and the roads were covered with sand from the winter. I've got video clips and there's no question in my mind that it would be extremely dangerous to do this route at this time without going at very slow speeds. Due to all of the corners (including blind ones), and elevation changes, there's a good chance of overzealous drivers going off the road. Sand flying up won't be great for your paint either.

I talked to a guy who knows the area well and he does not think that there will be enough rain/traffic over the coming month to clear all of the sand off. As such, I'm going to propose that we keep this route for the fall, when the colours will be a lot nicer as well, and do a different route in the milton/orangeville area this time around.

I find it funny that you are always using capital letters to spell out your car.

Do you think that it will be less mini if you do that?

But its true, his mini is exotic. But not in the Ferrari exotic way, in the Im stuck on a tiny exotic island with a really fat guy who sweats a lot and keeps humping my leg kind of way.

First pinhead, its a proper name so you keep it consistant. MINI is the proper spelling, like NSX.

Also, is the NSX any more exotic just because you seem to think it is? Why didn't they make it 200k? Geezus

I didn't know caps had anything to do with spelling - more like branding - by using caps the vertical lines of the two "i"'s make the car look taller!

I'm not sure what "make it 200k?" means - but I'm pretty sure you're more likely to make it with a hot chick you pick up with an NSX.

I think chicks would just want to test drive your mInI (perhaps there's an assumption they make about you "downstairs" based on the whole "mInI" thing:wink:

(My good buddy has a mInI and I love the car - but its sooooooo easy to tease, like a nerdy kid)

Hey now, the MINI is all I could afford, I'm not a very good driver and I like the safety of the front wheel drive.

Plus if they made the NSX 200k it would have kept Dave away...

Ive seen this miNi and let me tell you, it aint so mIni.

It is a sleeper in the greatest sense!

And for those who didnt know, Doggie (Vince) can afford much more. He was looking at minIs and F360s. He chose the miNi, god love him.

Don't you mean mInIs and f360s?

Life is good when you cross shop like that! There's something Zen about it.

I agree! The car is a toy, it shouldn't define you - but I'm seriously considering picking up a mini this winter - I love to car too!

I'm too chicken to pull the trigger on an F car.

The MINI is a riot to drive, good on gas and I can out handle a lot of cars in the corners at the track. If it wasn't fun I wouldn't have bought it.

Plus you can't go wrong with it in the winter, with Nokians on its as good as most 4x4s..and trust me I can prove it heh

I apologize, some details on the new route are still being finalized, and will be up on the website shortly. In the meantime, I am PM'ing everyone on the list with a link with details on the starting point. Please check it out soon, as I require some feedback from all participants.

NOTE: The page is password protected. In order to ensure everyone's privacy, please do not share this with others unless specifically requested. Please do not discuss starting location in the public forum. If you have any questions, feel free to email me directly.

If you are on the list and do not receive a PM from me sometime this weekend, please let me know. Thanks!

You think so, eh? :D

My wife hates it when people put 'eh' on the end of something after finding out she is Canadian....so watch out if you say that around her.
