F1 2009 megathread

Interesting feeling. Now that old Honda team has won, I don't feel any more "loyalty" to that team.

agreed, need a new underdog to route for....go USF1!

I had a look at this today, more tomorrow:

VTEC or any other form of variable valve lift profile is not allowed in F1 engines.

I guess Honda saw that restriction as reason enough to not pay attention to F1 anymore, at least until that and other silly rules change.

Re: See ya Kimi

Looks like McLaren's not too interested if they're not willing to pay full boat for Kimi and expect to ride on Ferrari's severance package.
http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/news/detail/091106091155.shtml Can't see him too interested in any other team either.

Kimi's probably already shopping around for his collection of bars and clubs or a ralley team. Heck, I'll bet lunch on that one.

I had no idea they were working so hard and early on the BGP 002.

And speaking of McLaren, the post could be titled: "No Good Deed goes Unpunished" :frown: It would be cool for McLaren to come out with their own engine and be competitive.

Next year's changes should be good...........err..........make that "interesting."

Ahem, has been concluded and the '10 season coming up. Silly season included.

And the '10 thread has been posted. ;)
