Ever had overweight/obese passengers in your Nsx ?

A cooworker of mine was talking about a large woman, and in our ramblings, we then started talking about taking a large woman somewhere in our cars. He has a big vehicle, I have two small cars, and my Nsx. We then thought about what it would be like to drive a large person around in the Nsx with its strong side supports.

Any of you Nsx owners out there have any stories to share about having a large friend, customer, stranger, etc in your Nsx ? Was it uncomfortable for them with the side supports in the passenger side seats ?

You're wondering how they fit in the NSX.....i'm wondering how they fit in economy class airline seats.

The car starts naturally drifting right.... and you have to turn your steering wheel towards the left to drive straight :frown: ask me how i know

Gave a ride to a consultant that was working at out company years ago. She was a pretty big girl. Probably best not to guess her weight.

The car was notable slower, but the car handeled OK. The side bolsters did not treat her well, but she did not mind too much.

The worst part was that she did not have enough lower body strength to get herself out. Since there were no handles, and the car was lowered, she could not get out on her own.

Had to brace myself against the A-pillar, to gain leverage (I am 150 lbs sopping wet) to help pull her out.

*Some* of the other comments in this thread are just silly. I am sure we have members on this board who are not thrilled with their current weight.

Cheers

I took a friend to lunch one day who is about 6'2" and 325-350 lbs. He would not have fit if it was a coupe, or I had the roof on, and he too had a hard time exiting.

I have a friend who is a lumberjack/logger. He is freaking scary huge. When I gave him a ride in the NSX I actually felt how his weight retarded the acceleration of the car.

Think of the NSX as a filter between the bar and your bedroom.

I feel guilty laughing at this thread but I'm laughing anyway.

My worst trouble with a passenger so far was a guy with muddy shoes.

Heh.
I think that guy would have a hard time fitting into the seats of my Nsx.

Whattabout her?!? Even if there was a back-seat, I don't see any 'action' happening!?!

1) It seems like a great way to find out what your car would look like if you lowered it.
2) If you have lowered it: one speedbump and the date's over in tears before you even get her home
3) I'd rather have the two small asian girls than Rozanne anyday
4) If you are into women of extrordinary size, go with the pickup truck - more options all the way around - pun intended

You know what they say...just like mopeds! They are fun, but you don't want anyone to catch you.
I know this is mean, but its all in good fun.

I had to get my car smogged for registration. So I parked my car at the furthest part of the shop's compound. So I'm sitting there waiting my 3yr old. and some overly overweight guy all greasy and dirty looking is looking around the parking lot. I was like holy crap that's my keys he's holding, I can tell because of the Ti key. I hesitated to ask but I did, sure enough he was looking for an NSX. So I said to myself, "is he even going to fit in the car?" So I asked him if he wants me to drive it to the stall. He said, "nah, I got it." Took him about 5 minutes to figure out how to get in the car. When he drove it to the stall and passed us he didn't look to comfy driving it. I swear that his arms were almost touching. To make matters worst, when he had to engine compartment up, he didn't put any kind of mat on the side of the car. So when I got home there was some scuff marks on the side panel by the engine bay. I guess his belly/belt was rubbing on it. Thank god I was able to polish it off. Sorry for the ranting, but in my personal experience I think someone who's overweight won't find our NSX's comfortable.

I know a guy in the city where I am from that is HUGE! I mean he is tall AND fat all at the same time. The funny thing is that he still manages to cram into both of his Lamborghinis.....it is quite interesting.
