Enthusify launch thread

so we are the beta testers

as the product develops into a sellable product ( to other companies )

do we get a cut of the sale as we are kinda of designing it for you guys

we had this same thing happen doing an automation system

Seimens said we could never get their automation system to track loop counts or open parking gates and doors.

now they fly their clients in to see what their software can do
and is a selling point of their software to clients

we get nothing for this added programming " that they said would never work"

just saying not tring to give you guys a hard time.

and the mac comment was just a fun poke.

Trying it out, just made my first purchase through enthusify. All my stuff has to come to the hotel cause i am rarely home so didn't know if it would work but the system took it. Didn't have to tell the system my prime name, does it get that automatically?

If you message a seller or list an item for sale, the marketplace system does connect to NSX Prime to securely grab your Prime name. At this time, if you make a purchase, you are not required to submit your Prime name.

Is it just me or do you need three consecutive monitors just to be able to view one photo? I haven't looked at every listing but each one I have opened contains photos that are too large to be of any use.

For example, despite having two monitors on my desk, this ad photo is useless to me and still needs to be scrolled to view the entire pic:

Three monitors? One seems to work fine. ;)

With that out of the way, it is interesting that you have the text of the ad along with the photo. When I click the photo in regular ad in order to view full size (too big here, I agree), I no longer see any of the details/description/price...just the pic. Hitting the back button doesn't get back to the ad, but to where I was before clicking on the ad. I have to hit "esc" to hide full picture and get back to ad...not the most intuitive.

If you notice on your desktop how much cushions show in the picture and compare to the thumbnail your not getting the complete picture. If you copy the address of the thumbnail and put it in a post here you will see the supersize. And yes, not being able to back up to view other pics sucks.

btw... I would like to have that to mess around with but way too much for me.

Mike

When looking at the list view, I think it should be better consolidated. Only show the photo (slightly smaller thumbnail), title, and price. If someone wants to read more, they can click on it - just like they do now in existing threads.

You can scrap the entire retail, savings, and whatever that's all about. People only care about the actual price.

when you try are sell something you need to add all this info
not a problem but

then the default is to share it with craigslist, ebay etc. facebook

make sure you uncheck all of this you dont want any of your info being shared across the internet for the spammers.

since it exposes to much info

PM me for parts guys you know I have lot of them.

When I cancel an item, the original listing post does not change to sold... I hope the system does not sell an item I've already cancelled

When you 'cancel' a listing, the system should remove the 'buy now' button from your listing and display a message along the lines of, "This item is no longer for sale."

Shoot me a PM or email if you are seeing something else. Let me know the listing you canceled.

Thanks!

what is the deal if I contact the buyer and he accepts my offer which is different than the listed price ?(my offer is lower of course)
It seams this new system will not work as it will only accept the current price.:frown:

Is there any protection if I receive a box filled with rock rather than the item purchased; I mean i am already wearing my helmet and a condom but just wondered if there was some kind of extra protection in a case of that mater?
I ask because the last time that I bought an item (intercooler) I opened the box and what I received was nothing like what was advertised and pictured, it was practically a crushed, old, beat up intercooler which I disposed of. I was tempted to drive cross country and beat the buyer, but gas is expensive.

Is there a solution out there (anywhere) that protects you from that now? Does eBay have this protection? Does PayPal? Does Amazon?

I'm pretty sure if this happens, it's fraud and would be a civil suit between you as the buyer and the seller.

Per the suggestion of this community, we have a 'haggle' feature forthcoming. In the meantime, if the system detects that you offered a different price via the messaging system, we send the seller instructions for how to change the price of his/her listing.

In summary - a seller can change the price of his listing by going to the 'My Listings' button in the upper right corner of: http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/classifieds.php
And clicking 'edit' next to any live listing.

Ok, I have a problem with the payment system.

You - Enthusify - are going to hold on to my money for 2 weeks while I ship and send the item. This is crap. I should have money in hand before I ever send an item somewhere.

Very unhappy with Enthusify.

From a buyer's perspective, it is worrisome to send money and not know if the item purchased even exists. The way the buyer and seller protection works right now is:
1) A seller lists an item for sale.
2) A buyer purchases the item.
3) Enthusify confirms that it has a valid deposit of funds from the buyer.
3) The seller ships the item.
4) 14 days from purchase, absent any dispute by the buyer, Enthusify transfers the funds to the seller.

We have a feature forthcoming that will allow a buyer and seller to mutually agree to release the funds sooner than 14 days.

Enthusify's terms outline the workflow for various types of disputes.

Right now, if the 14 day payment protection is an issue, a seller can indicate in his listing that he prefers to be paid through a method other than the included secure checkout.

Hi,

all that looks good, but let's throw some sand into the mechanism:

1 - what happens if the seller send bricks inside the box?? in the dispute, will enthusify believe the seller or the buyer??

2 - what if the seller really ships the parts, but the buyer makes the false claim that the box came full of garbage?? in the dispute, will enthusify believe the seller or the buyer??

I ask this because it's almost impossible to prove right or wrong by either of them, and the decision have to be made on top of "I believe".

I ask this because this actually HAPPENED to me and Paypal decided against me (buyer)... so i was left with a box full of garbage, and the seller kept money and parts (non NSX related).

Good news... for most of you. We updated the main gallery view to display more listings.

We fixed the photos issue. However - there appears to be an issue for mac users where the main photo in a listing 'spills' over its intended the border. The new layout appears to be working fine on PC-based browsers.

We will fix that mac issue and keep working on your requests and suggestions.

Section 11 of Enthusify's terms walk through the work flows for various dispute resolutions. As per UnhuZ's PayPal experience, PayPal's buyer protection is not all it is cracked up to be. In the case of Enthusify, as a trusted partner of the forum, we have other data elements and signals of reputation with which to handle dispute resolution. Unlike PayPal, Enthusify can consider data like:
  • # of posts
  • longevity of community membership
  • and other technical and non technical signals

Enthusify went to great lengths to tightly integrate with the software that powers NSX Prime (vBulletin) in part to beef up buyer and seller protections.

User ss04 purchase an item from me and I never received any confirmation or information regarding the order, only his PM to me via prime. Need confirmation and the information forwarded to me please.

I sent a PM. On a related note - the marketplace system sends messages and notices to the NSX email you have on file. We have noticed that ~3% of member email addresses are no good (likely outdated). We are making an improvement to the listing creation page to verify your email address so that the marketplace can properly alert you when you item sells.

IN OTHER NEWS:
1) Based on your suggestions we increased the number of items that display in the gallery view from 12 to 36.
2) We fix that photo issue that many of you with duel monitors or large monitors were seeing.
Thanks for the suggestions and for reporting those issues.

Per your request... a 'haggle' feature is forthcoming :-)

Please keep the ideas and suggestions coming.

Much better.

I ran into this issue with a current purchase.

Yesterday, I posted an item for sale. I sold the item immediately through Private Message on NSX Prime where the seller paid via paypal. Today, I got a Private message from another member stating they already paid for the item and was wondering when it would be shipped. I let that member know that I did not receive a payment from him, and he forwarded me an email from Enthusify saying that his payment was sent to me. I let the 2nd buyer know that the item was already sold and to contact Enthusify since they hold the money for 14 days. I reached out to Chad of Enthusify myself with the scenario since I did not want to receive any negative seller feedback from this situation. Chad responded quickly and I spoke to him over the phone. I explained the situation and he was able to refund the 2nd buyer his money.

This problems that I encountered was:
1) I did not have time to come back on NSX Prime to mark my sale thread closed.
2) The email address that Enthusify had for me was one from 4 years ago that is no longer an email address that I have since I switched ISP's, but was used when I created my NSX Prime account.
3) I sold the item through a buyer contacting me directly through PM and did not even use Enthusify for the purchase.

Chad was able to update my email address to one that I currently use and did contact the 2nd buyer and refunded him immediately. He also said that they will be working on resolving these types of issues.
