Engine glass question

just in case anyone ever does find an aftermarket that fits, let us know if it also works. The right length still might not have the right support. These things work because they are pressurized gas. They fail because nothing is 100% air tight, so after several years of temperature cycling, they lose pressure. Which is why they first start not working when it is cold but do OK when it is warm. This is due to the gas law PV=nrT. Time is what causes n to decrease and consequently, failure of the part. But after a certain amount of loss of n (number of molecules BTW), it's the decreasing T that causes lower P.
