Click to expand... you can tap the EGT where the 3 header pipes merge into one. or you can tap as close to the head as you want on the manifold side to get a reading. I usually tap the cylinder that is furthest away from on the from the fuel rail entry port. that way you usually get a reading off the leanest cylinder instead of a combined reading which could be deceptive. happy motoring Rob:smile: btw headers is better since it gets the best reading. on my turbo cars, i tap them about 2 inches away from the head on the exhaust runner.
