Anyone run egt gauge. If so where did you locate the probe?

Probably should post this on the Forced Induction forum...not sure any NA car owners worry much about EGT.
i've seen people tap their headers and i've also seen them tapped into the test pipe.
you can tap the EGT where the 3 header pipes merge into one.
or you can tap as close to the head as you want on the manifold side to get a reading.
I usually tap the cylinder that is furthest away from on the from the fuel rail entry port.
that way you usually get a reading off the leanest cylinder instead of a combined reading which could be deceptive.

btw headers is better since it gets the best reading. on my turbo cars, i tap them about 2 inches away from the head on the exhaust runner.
