White relly looks great. I have driven the 335i and thought it was a really great car. The back seat however is a wee bit small.

Grats man. You have the stock exhaust on your right? Cause I saw someone with a white one with the Crevier signs the other night in Aliso and he had aftermarket exhaust on it and was showing off a little. Three lights in a row he gunned it, only to get stuck at the next light lol.
Bone stock everything other than window tint for a few more days, still breaking in the motor and keeping it below 4500rpm:frown:. Not a fan of speeding in traffic.

Congrats on the purchase! I love that car! Very intresting on the Tranny, i didn't know the auto did rev-matched downshifts.
Yes, it does rev matching and blip throttle with flick of finger. Unless it is driven by Billy Johnson. Otherwise, it is performance with more overall precision for most casual drivers. Actually even for him, he might do better in this one. The 997 turbo's tiptronic is also built by ZF.

Road and Track:
"When ordered with the sport package you also get paddles behind the thick, well-padded steering wheel, with rev-matching downshifts."

Car and Driver:
"We also noted snappy rev-matching throttle blips when downshifting using the manumatic function (or paddles)"

Business Week:
"For starters, this new BMW coupe is significantly faster than BMW rates it. The company says the 335i will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds with an automatic transmission and 5.3 seconds with a stick shift. Don't believe it. I easily got my test 335i with an automatic to do the trick several times in under 5 seconds. My fastest time was a blazing 4.8 seconds. That's four ticks faster than my best time in the Lexus IS 350 and two ticks faster than my best time in a Chevy Corvette with an automatic transmission"

The sports package is a must, not feeling the 18" wheels that came with it, but the oil cooler and steering paddle shifter is important and practical. A lot of 1st year 335i are not equipped with oil cooler. To retrofit, it cost $1700 from dealer, which is $700 more than if they had gotten the sport package form the start.

Black window trim is a must on all colors except silver cars IMO. Need to order the 328i black window trim.

hehe +1 man. I just thought it was funny cause the guy I saw was trying really hard to play race car driver to show off, reving hard at lights, only to get shafted by the lights. Can't even tell who he was showing off too, no sports cars around, unless he was trying to show up a minivan or my Fit.

Modding has began:redface:.

Black window trim

Snapped this undercarriage pic while getting the lip installed. It already has underbody tray, this got to be one of the reason why it is so stable at high speed:

Yup. That's a deal breaker for me.
LSD options were reserved for the M cars, same for previous E46s. There are quite a few aftermarket LSD options available.

Fitted with aftermarket LSD:

Yeah I figured that. You gonna go with an aftermarket LSD?
Definitely not. It is suppose to be my daily beater:biggrin:. If I drive fast enough to need LSD on street, I am driving way...too fast through turns on public road.

The handling department of this car is definitely nothing to be ashame off. In Lighting lap Aug 2007, it out lapped some of Z4 M coupe, Z4 M coupe is equipped with LSDs, more power, and weight 341lbs less. Latest automobile magazine have it up against EVO X and STI, it fared quite well for a car with open rear.
