Driving Ambition Updating Kip's Car.

Hi Guys,
Here are some pictures of the final parts installed and painted. We are testing them this weekend @ Pacific Racway in Seatle. Hopfully everything will work. Cheers, Shad

Awesome work Shad! It's particularly interesting how the aero mods to the front negatively impacted the overall balance of a "real race car". Please let us know how the new rear under-tray and diffuser work out.

Good luck, and keep us posted!

guys that car is far too pretty to be banging wheel to wheel.I guess Kip will have to start each race from pole and stay out in front.

Holy crap. The underbody aero looks gorgeous. I bet once you guys figure out the balance that that NSX is going to just stick to the track.

Shad,

The car is looking pretty sporty! I'm curious to hear how it runs with the new mods. Ominous shots of the car sitting on wets, as now it looks like rain for the greater Seattle area Sunday and Monday.

See you guys at Laguna,

Guy

I'd also like to know this as well. Did you do any type of calculations or cfd to see where cg is under varying types of acceleration and then match the amount of down force to that location? And if so how did that effect the handling of the car?

unofficial update:

Shad's cool as always, Kip's awesome, weather's crappy... DA is unstoppable.

I didn't have a chance to see the qualifying in actions, but based on the printout I "stole", he's running 1:39.xx in RAIN and there were only 3 cars running faster than him. (All of the others were tube frame cars.) Kip's 9 seconds ahead of the second place qualifier. He's the lap record holder in STO class here.

In the actual race, he quickly climb to second place overall in a matter of couple laps and now that we are standing in pouring rain... (I was trying to get couple good pics at the back side of the track, the way this track built, was not that exciting for the spectators, so I'm looking forward to Kip's camera actions.).

Kip told me he got a chance to run in the dry on Sunday. Which he turned a 1:27. during the race. It's just freaking awesome, please take a look at current scca lap record : http://www.nwr-scca.org/race/trackrecords.htm before they updating it with Kip's lap time, that is.

Mind you the track condition is terrible, (I won't even want to go to track day in this kind of weather.) Lack of seat time on a fresh track with ever changing weather condition... I'm just speechless!!!

Hi Shad, do you guys ever get up to Mission RaceWay in Vancouver BC?

Limegreen, no offense, don't hold your breath... Compared to tracks in WA, mission is a waste of money, and this comment is actually coming from my friends in B.C. (many of my friends live up there.)

With the poor competition, I don't even know if DA will ever come back.

Great build, GL on this upcoming season. I have personally dealt with the world challenge folks a few times and can completely understand your frustration (I'm crew chief for Goodsport racing in norcal)
