I was wondering if Zymol still makes the wax for the NSX and how it compares to the current waxes and polishes on the market.

(Please note I am not asking for a side by side comparsion or whether Zymol is better than Zainos thread)

Just seeing if waxes change all that much over the years compared to the synthetics.

For some reason the Zymol wax looks really good with the older paints like lacquer.

My understanding is that they still make this wax, but not with the sticker. And it's a mid-grade version.

Are u looking for the NSX sticker for the novelty?

If not, try out Zymol's best wax, the Royale Glaze:

It was designed for Bugatti owners.

MSRP: $10,000.00

It's really not that bad when you consider Free Lifetime Refill Policy by the factory!

Had a good laugh when I saw this in the picture!

I just used the waxing bottle that I had from some years on one of the older daily commuters! It was good enough for the purpose .....

I didn't know the marketing wizards at Zymol made an NSX specific wax, how appropriate.

I do hope most of you realize that they sell more car specific waxes than different types of paint out there.

I have seen Royale on a panel next to p21s, zero visual and optical difference to me and everyone else there. Longevity wasn't much different either. The biggest difference was about $6550.00.

Chuck Bennett who is the president of Zymol once owned a Red NSX-T back in the day.

this is Mikhael
didnt know they made car specific wax. i know they have it for porcshe and couple others but for nsx? its not on their site so i guess they dont.

i do have royale and vintage. did first application of royale on STI and all compliments i got indicated that it does make difference. i cant justify spending $8k on wax even with lifetime refills

but water has hard time staying on the car though, here it is on sti

havent tried vintage yet. but many other less expencive waxes work just as good, 95% of shine(look) will come from prep(polishing to get surface as perfect as possible), its like putting asphalt down, you have to put a lot of layers under black top

Zymol made several different types of wax specifically towards certain car companies.

Below are a list of a few.

NSX Glaze: Developed specifically for the Acura NSX. From daily driver to show car, NSX Glaze protects the superb tri and quad coat acrylics used over the heavily stressed NSX T3 Aircraft Aluminum coachwork while providing brilliant depth of colour and shine.

Similar to Zymol Carbon, except the 37% Carnauba content is specifically formulated for the Saab finishes

They no longer make the NSX wax. You have a few options...

I use the Japon wax and it does a wonderful job.

Alternatively, they just started a 'custom' wax production process. You fill out some info, they contact you and manufacture wax specifically for the car in question. I have no idea how much or little that costs.

In any case, if you order from them you can use discount code:PC2106 for a discount. I got this for NSXCA.

I guess that brand-like car waxes are only a marketing gag. People buy it because they think it has been designed expecially for it. Of course, it has been designed in an special way but do 1 or 2 percent of wax or ingredients have another effect than ripping more money out of the owners vallet? Does wax really interact with paint? I think no.
Zaino has one formula, that's enough for all paints IMO.
$10'000 waxes are best marketing. They're crazy to sell it to people who are dumb to buy it. People will talk about it and buy their overprised $500 stuff.

I've a bottle of this way at home but there's other good stuff out there. Highly preferred are highly concentrated white Carnauba products. Yellow carnauba is ok also.

The Zymol NSX wax was designed especially for it. Zymol's chemists worked with the technical folks from Honda in designing it.

Clearly you are confusing their products, and basing your opinion on erroneous information. The "bottled" Zymol wax - the blue stuff - is not their premium product. Their premium products (which come in jars, not bottles) contain white and yellow carnauba wax, in higher concentrations than almost all other waxes on the market.

I doubt that they did any true design work for the NSX Zymol.

They probably met up to grab a bite, chat about non-work related car stuff, and discussed how any of their waxes would work since the NSX won't be driven as much as they predicted........
