How do I disable the TCS permanently. I don't want to have to manually turn it off all the time? Someone said to disconnect it from the computer. Is that the same as removing the fuse from the fuse box?

If you are up for spending some money, you can get the SmarTCS from daliracing. I think it was around $50. I recall it remembers the last TCS setting, so you can just set it to off. Handy thing is you can always turn it back on when it starts to rain.

Yeah, but it only works for pre ODBII cars (ie - 91-94). I have wondered about the pitfalls of disabling it permanently. I hardly ever see the "light" during wet driving, and it gets in the way of so many 1-2 upshifts that I would like to pull the fuse forever. Any thoughts?

I have taken the TCS completly out of the car and have not looked back.... The difference in the throttle control alone is worth it! I would highly recommend it unless you live near snow....

Disconnecting the TCS computer is easy. Pull the trim panels directly behind the seats - the top and drivers side. The TCS computer is the metal box. Unplug it. Replace trim panels.

Hey Lud,
Thanks for the info. I unplugged it this morning and everything is great. Thanks again.
