Disable TCS or not?

Lately, I've been turning the TCS off almost every single time I drive the car. At the track, the TCS has kicked in a few times (because I forgot to turn it off) and also under hard accelleration on the street it has turned on once or twice. How effective is it really to protect you? My tires are also just a tad larger than OEM, which may cause it to occur more often than normal. I am using Volk TE37 17x7.5 215/40 up front and 18x9 265/25 rear. I saw the DIY on how to turn off TCS for good, but I was wondering if it really is safer to drive with TCS on the street. It really hasn't helped me ever, and I always turn it off when I'm driving aggressive anyways... so it seems rather pointless. The orange lamp just annoys me more than anything... Just curious what other aggressive drivers tend to do with their TCS.

I prefer leaving mine on. If it kicks in, then it’s a sign I pushed it too hard (for day-to-day street driving). My belief is, on the streets you should always have a little left over to cover for the unexpected. If you’re driving to the point you need TCS off, so you can go a little faster, you have no reserve. Just my opinion.

Now, when I’m out scratching, or need a quick launch(red-light to red-light stuff), I’ll turn it off.

The NSX’s TCS isn’t that bad. On the Vette it was horrible. When it kicked in, it completely robbed you of power. To the point it could be nearly dangerous, taking off in front of traffic at an intersection. I lived with it on, in the vette, so the NSX should be not biggy.

If you are tired of the orange lamp, you can change it to the Honda green one

My opinion is that for everyday driving, it's an excellent device. For stimulating driving pleasure, turn it off.
I had an (nearly) incident just the other day. Heading up on a wet curved highway entrance, handling over a coke to my co-pilot i did not see the oilspill on the road. Before I even had noticed that the car was out of track, the TCS kicked in and really saved my butt. So I will leave it on for day 2 day driving.
