Hi Eugene,

Sorry about your car......But at least it does not look like anything major so thats good. As far as drilling out your rotors I would not advise that like others here. You should just buy some rotors for cheap like I did for a few hundred bucks. I will pm you some info. Good to have met you and I am glad you came down to join us.

Aah man! what a day,..it was a great meet guys,. i loved the cruize, the scenery, and the exhibition at Crystal Cove. but that all nighter got the best of me after breakfast. i was literally half asleep on the way home,.. scary...but never again. (where do get you energy Wil) as for the people bitchin about the nsx's taking over,.. all i can say is the early bird catches the worn. my spare tire compartment got plenty of looks  great jobs guys we were nsx flexin today

I just had to share this PM b/c it is so funny :

"Avalon, with all do respect, i really don't appreciate you raining down on our parade about filling up the parking lot at C.C. As far as I'm concerned, the nsx is a rarity at C.C. Its the same cars that show up every single week that make crystal cove undiversified (ie. carrera GT, 360 modena, etc). It was obvious that the show today was slow, and if the F50, ariel atom and other cars that were not able to park in the show, i believe its the fault of the owner by not waking up on time like the rest of us who were able to get in. So as far as your opinion goes, and the others who feel the same way, please don't post it on our forum because its of very little concern to us. We had great time, our cars got plenty of admiration, and we enjoyed seeing the other exotics at the show. In regards to your comment about the evo's & S2000's, its fair to assume that your the type of person who uses a vehicle as a source of ego-boosting. The Marque and badge of a car are your only concern, not the design, story, purpose and engineering of the vehicle. Every NSX owner i've met has been a hardcore car afficionado who enjoys & appreciates cars regardless of make or country of origin. Its a shame that your nsx, a historical & incredible supercar, is owned by someone so shallow and superficial."

All I said is that we could go to one of the side lots next time with such a large group. The comment wasn't meant to criticize the nsx meet, which I would have liked to attend, but merely a suggestion for any future group of cars who plans to go to CC. What's the big deal? I find your comments rude and immature, and I believe this is just as much my forum as it is yours or anyone elses. You are just giving yourself a bad name for making such rude comments.

Hey! guys who is this guy , Avalon96 ?

Look what he post on F-Chat:
"Even though I am an NSX owner, I do agree that it is a little rude, per se, when a particular club/group takes up all the parking spaces at a limited-space event such as crystal cove. It isn't really a matter of what type of car it is (although Evos, civics, s2000s would be more annoying) but that it would be nicer to leave room for diversity.

Maybe groups can stay in the collateral lots so the interested can stray over if they like."

-------------------------------------------------------------------
-There are more 360 and Carrera(old, very old) than NSX(about 13) What A DUMB ASS!!!! I saw people look at NSX as much as those ferraris. Even I get sick of looking at those F-car after 10 mins, and go back to check out the NSX's

-The last time I check! I didn't belong to any "club"

Maybe you'd like to post my whole comment next time. I also said that it is a free public event, and that we (F-chat, or any other groups) don't have the right to say anything about anyone else. It was merely meant as a suggestion, and you need to be a little more objective. Cheers on the meet; it is sad to see some members treating others with such blatant disrespect and immaturity (this last comment isn't necessarily directed at you, but anyone so insecure as to take my OP as an insult)

Word-for-word:

"though I am an NSX owner, I do agree that it is a little rude, per se, when a particular club/group takes up all the parking spaces at a limited-space event such as crystal cove. It isn't really a matter of what type of car it is (although Evos, civics, s2000s would be more annoying) but that it would be nicer to leave room for diversity.

Then again, what really do we have to say about it. CC is a public event and it is open to all comers.

Maybe groups can stay in the collateral lots so the interested can stray over if they like."

To the rude posters, let's bury the hatchet:

You lose tone and inflection over the internet, and some things may seem more offensive than if they were said in real life. It is the holiday season, so let's just enjoy it.

I would not have a problem parking on the sidelines.
I honestly I don't care.
Just don't tell me I have to.
Usually there are zero NSX's. This was a fluke, but a nice fluke.
Also in shock how little the average CC goer know's about cars.
Here is a bit of CC trivia. It started out more or less Muscle cars & Street Rods & a few sports cars. It got bigger, It turned into a Mine is Bigger than yours type a thing, and the guys who started meeting there when they developed that stretch of PCH now meet in the shopping center South of CC.
Funny if you think about. Its such an honor to park in the main lot, the guys who started it left. They can still be found every Sat morning on PCH.
Just not at CC.

I was with this group for a couple years http://www.midyear.org/aboutus.php
Back when I has a 65 four and a quarter vert. We would meet at Crystal Cove
on the 3rd Sunday of the month (as I recall) at noon. Hang around an hour or so then take a 30-60 min. caravan/ drive to a lunch spot. We would normally have 20-40 (63-67) Vettes going down the road.
It was mainly couples as its easy to talk your significant other into a nice "social" Sunday drive & Lunch over getting up in the dark and going to a parking lot. It was a lot of fun. Am thinking it might be fun to do something similar with NSX's?

Haha!! this comments on F-chat...posted by Cig1

"But an enthusiast would at least clean their car before parking in the gallery at Crystal Cove. It seemed like almost a third of the NSX's had dirty wheels.

Not hatin' ... just making an observation.

G

PS.OK...who wheel is dirty? hehe! I know mine is just gone offroad!

Ok guys lets squash this silly misunderstanding. F-guys are nice people and NSX guys are nice people. Everyone enjoy their Sunday today and get ready for the next get together. Man I am craving a waffle again.

By the way I cleaned my wheels ;)

For the record... I've been on F Chat for quite a long time and met a lot of the locals. They're mostly a bunch of really great guys who are just car enthusiasts. Most will admit the they're simply blessed to own cars that most only dream about. Not any different than us, just on a different scale in most instances.

I truly agree with you. I've joined the F-Chat group at one of their Haus of Pizza meets. These guys are truly down to earth modest folks, who made me feel like family despite the fact that i did not own at Ferrari. As matter of fact, one of the guys took a picture of my nsx, and included it with the pics of the ferrari's. These guys are true enthusiasts, hard core car afficionado's who appreciate cars regardless of the badge. One thing to also add...Haus of Pizza has the best pizza i've ever tasted:biggrin:

CC was started and been around for car enthusiast of ALL KIND. Yes, that would include s2000, civic, evos...etc.

I agree that it MAY be a courteous thing for the NSX group to partially park on the outskirt lots, however, this same comment should and would be applied across all makes/models. I am wondering what the responses would be if it was posted on Fchat to ask some of the 360 owners to please not pull into the main lot as I see at least 5-10 360s there on a weekly basis, not to mention the 348, 355, or ther F cars? Do we start limit number of makes/models in the main lot to preserve diversity?

I am really not trying to pick an argument, but like to remind all what the spirit of a car enthusiast means, at least to me. It's not the dollar value of the vehicle, or how shining the paint is, but really anyone that appreciates the fact that an owner is willing to get up early on a saturday morning in the dark to share their hobby and love of cars with others similar.

I will get off my soap box now, but to be honest, if I do see 20 Enzo at CC, I am not sure which bodily fluid would come out of me first....!

Not to bring the party down, but a lot of the regular CC goers don't look highly on a pack of 20 cars taking up all the parking spaces in the main lot. I think one of the collateral lots should be used for car groups/clubs such as us. Even though we aren't civics, s2000s, evos, etc., I still think we should reserve the main lot for diversity. Even a pack of 20 enzos would get kind of boring.

I know, I know...they are all mainly Ferraris... but you know what I mean.

Couldn't have said it any better.
