Cystal Cove 12/17!!! who's up for this???

The Cottage has great food, but Like Christian said, the parking stinks and there isn't much of a p-lot. These are a little out of the way from CC. Although if you were giong to try Pancake House then they are in close proximity. A's Burgers has better breakfast than IHOP/Coco's/Denny's/etc & good prices (parking available in a small lot, on the street and along the RR tracks - not paved). Carmels on El Toro Road, good Mexican style breakfast, big parking lot. Hometown Buffet in Laguna Woods on El Toro Rd., all you can eat and the p-lot is large. Don't know the quality of the food - but hey its a buffet.

I won't be able to make it, thanks to capital one and their awesome abillity to get out a check!!! So instead of picking up my new ride today like I planned, I have to wait til tomorrow:mad: Oh well, she needed new shoes before I take her to show her off anyways:biggrin:

Have fun and take some pix. and Beware of parking ANYWHERE in Laguna Beach!!!

I'll see you all soon!!!

There is great mexican place for breakfast in Irvine, Las Fajitas.
Boy do I miss that place.
I used to work next door, I ate there several times a week.
Everytime I pass through to LA I always stop.

I think this may have been a new record for NSX's at the Cove.
Not sure how many were there? But it was a bunch!
Saw this post @ 6:30 this AM and did a Mr. Wolf down PCH
(got there at 6:55).
As always it was great meeting up with the "Usual Suspects"
As well as a few new to me NSX'ers.
(Don't sweat the wheels Rico, they look great with your color combo!)
And weigh less than almost anything else.
Later and Merry X-mas!

As always, great meet guys. It was a pleasure to see everyone again. Thanks to everyone who showed up to make it happen. I could've sworn that we had more than 20 NSX's show up. Oh man, it felt like chicago out there at crystal cove. It felt like a blizzard. Anyways, nsxsupra & rico took a good amount of high quality pics, so we should be seeing those soon. Also big thanks to Calvin (pooh bear) for finding us a very nice location for breakfast. Well, let's do this again. Have a happy and safe holidays.

I'm thinking for January it's time for another Dromo One event. Although i came in last place during the last event, Its time for some revenge

Not to bring the party down, but a lot of the regular CC goers don't look highly on a pack of 20 cars taking up all the parking spaces in the main lot. I think one of the collateral lots should be used for car groups/clubs such as us. Even though we aren't civics, s2000s, evos, etc., I still think we should reserve the main lot for diversity. Even a pack of 20 enzos would get kind of boring.

I know, I know...they are all mainly Ferraris... but you know what I mean.

I know what you mean. But the normal number of NSX's is 1 maybe 2 if any.
So, to those who didn't like it, they can kiss my ass.
(there were over 20 F cars & 20 P cars, etc.)
A brand new owner of an 05 430 asked me if I was into drifting? Asked me if I drifted my car in drifting events? Weird.......
Truth be told, the NSX is probably one of, if not the rarest cars there.
Funny, I bet very few there today even knew that.............
Rant off..............

Good evening everyone,

Just wanted to say it was a pleasure to meet and hangout with everyone for todays event. I had a real great time except for the waking up early part  Thanks to Will for putting this together and thanks to Rico for my 4:30am wake up call   And it was great to meet some new faces as well today. Sorry if I did not get to talk to some of you guys as much. I was enjoying the scene if you know what I mean.

I want to say hello and welcome to a fairly new nsx owner named ed, I did not get his last name but I hope to see him on prime soon.......
He is a class act gentleman and congrats on his 96 red/tan. Also thanks ed for letting me sit in your F40!     and of course you are welcome to bring it to my house anytime as you stated ;)

Hope to see you guys soon!

I understand your point Avalon, but how often do us nsxr's attend crystal cove as one big group. How often do you see NSX's at crystal cove, let alone the show area? Surely, its not as often as the red 360 modena, or the Carrera GT. The last time we went as a big group was back in august or september. So its very rarely do we take part in the cystal cove event. Yet there are ferrari's, lambo's, p-cars that are there every single week, in the same spot everytime, ever since crystal cove started. I mean these cars are more consistent then sunshine when attending crystal cove. that hurts the diversity of the show a lot more than a group of nsx's that attend the show once every couple months. If we were a group of lambos or f-cars, i doubt that anyone would complain, so forget about being politically correct.

I think there are two types of people attending C.C. One is a true enthusiast, appreciates a car regardless of the badge thats on it. Then theres the type who goes to crystal cove for the ego boost, who get irritated when the have to park anywhere else other than the show area where they will get the attention they crave. I think these are the people who are complaining. Regardless, I think us nsx guys had a great time, and I look forward to the next meet.

Wow! What a cool event this morning. It was great meeting up with you guys and driving down to Crystal Cove. It was the first time I've ever driven my NSX with other owners and man was that fun. We've got some pretty cool cars. Can't wait to do that again. It was great hanging out and talking with you guys about our cars. Where else can you get this knowledge so freely distributed? To the guy (I never got your name) with the red Comptech car who honked at me on the freeway on the way home, your car looks real nice...real nice. I love my black/black but something about those red ones.
Gil, I'll be emailing you for the referral to get my disc drilled. I know what you guys are saying, "Don't drill the disc, they'll crack." That advise hasn't fallen on def ears, but I'll only be tracking my car once or twice a year and I'm willing to take that chance for "the look". I love the look of drilled disc.
Oh! As far as the mindless, careless, caffeine intoxicated, SUV driving mother f***** who backed into my front bumper and took off when we met at Starbucks; who probably didn't know he/she hit the car, but took off nevertheless. I've already ordered the Acura emblem ($100 thank you very much) and it looks like the scratches can be buffed out ($100 maybe $50). So my first Crystal Cove experience cost me at least $150 plus 2hrs. round trip of gas cruising at 80mph. However things could have been alot worse. I met some cool "car" dudes, saw some awesome cars, and I'm still driving a NSX.
I look forward to the next NSX get together. See ya later guys.

Hey! guys who is this guy , Avalon96 ?

Look what he post on F-Chat:
"Even though I am an NSX owner, I do agree that it is a little rude, per se, when a particular club/group takes up all the parking spaces at a limited-space event such as crystal cove. It isn't really a matter of what type of car it is (although Evos, civics, s2000s would be more annoying) but that it would be nicer to leave room for diversity.

Maybe groups can stay in the collateral lots so the interested can stray over if they like."

-There are more 360 and Carrera(old, very old) than NSX(about 13) What A DUMB ASS!!!! I saw people look at NSX as much as those ferraris. Even I get sick of looking at those F-car after 10 mins, and go back to check out the NSX's

-The last time I check! I didn't belong to any "club"

One thing i've realized is no matter what you do, now matter how great, there's always going to be a few people who are going to be negative, criticize, and rain down on your parade. Let's not worry about him, Lets worry about us..pricks will always be pricks, theres nothing we can do to change them..... and as far as I'm concerned, we had a lot of fun. Thats all that matters

NSXB; It was great to meet you, sorry about the damage  , I'll dig up the slot/drill guy in Santa Ana. Use your NSXCA membership discount to buy the rotors at Neillo or other perferred vendor. Enjoy the holidays, look forward to seeing you again. Gil
