Customized license plate

I can't decide whether to get a vanity plate for my up and coming (later this week if all goes well) NSX, or just a normal one.

These are some that I like:

LUVNSX or LUV NSX ;)

I debated that plate as well, but I think I am just going to get a University of Wisconsin plate, non-vanity, instead. There is a guy in Cali who has had it on his NSX for several years.

damn

I didnt mean to steal anyone's idea..i didnt read all the posts..i just put in a search for nsx vanity plates to comment on what i got.

anyways yeah i just pluged it online at CA DMV and it was approved..however when it gets reviewed it might be declined and they better give me my bread back as well

No worries. This is not your average forum. For the most part you don't have to put up with that kind of crap. :D

You could have thought it up on your own without seeing someone else's plate. I don't think I was the first person to come up with that.

I think you will be approved, but ICBW.

sall good

id hate to have my idea stolen..i doubt theyll approve it tho..i tried to get ICUPEEP for my 99 Lex GS3 back in the day..it was approved online but they sent me a letter saying it was taunting or something..i cant really rememeber but it was a dumb reason to decline it.

i also tried BABY 4RE but it was taken..everytime i go to fill her up.."hey is that a ferrari?" i wish!!

Here's Mine:

The 'excuse' for DMV where they ask explanation was :

My girlfriend is younger than me so her family always teases me that I am 'robbing the cradle'

(I don't have a girlfriend)

Here is mine. It is simple and not as creative as some of the others posted but I haven't seen anyone with anything close to it yet. I still get people asking me what it says even though it is pronounced exactly as it is spelled out "One NSX To See"

Nice plate...by the way...which wing is on your car?? It looks nice. :)

My cars all get new plates every year. It is always fun to change up the plates.

Thanks, that wing is the Dali version of the NSX-R. I had the Dreamzsport one but it looked kind of off. This one is claimed to be made from a mold of an actual $6K NSX-R one and its pure CF.

Dentist friend I know had one- DKXCV8R Decay excavator
On an Audi in Texas- HAUDI
A Urologist in my hometown- CME2P

I don't know about other states but I'm pretty sure in Cali they do not allow text strings with religous connotations, irregardless of whether it is meant in a religous way.

gotta call you on that one. My inspiration for my plate is a 1000 RWHP black supra i got a ride in (San jose area) whose licence plate read "OHMYGOD" because that's what most people say when he floors the car.:D My car's power is less than half of his, but i still liked the plate.

irregardless?

Yeah I guess your right I did a little test on the CA DMV personalized plate website, it let me order one with the word GOD in it . . Hmmm I could have sworn that I had tried something like that a while back and it gave me thumbs down.

Here is the scoop on Irregardless:

ir·re·gard·less ( P ) Pronunciation Key (r-gärdls)
adv. Nonstandard
Regardless.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Probably blend of irrespective, and regardless.]
Usage Note: Irregardless is a word that many mistakenly believe to be correct usage in formal style, when in fact it is used chiefly in nonstandard speech or casual writing. Coined in the United States in the early 20th century, it has met with a blizzard of condemnation for being an improper yoking of irrespective and regardless and for the logical absurdity of combining the negative ir- prefix and -less suffix in a single term. Although one might reasonably argue that it is no different from words with redundant affixes like debone and unravel, it has been considered a blunder for decades and will probably continue to be so.

I just ordered mine a couple weeeks ago..."GOT NSX"?

tried to get "GOT VTEC"?, but was taken..."GOT NSX" looked better on the plate anyway and was my first idea, so in 8 -12 weeks I'll be askin' "got NSX ?"

I'll post pic when I get it:p

man... i stood at DMV for nearly 4 hours today waiting to pick up my plates. finally when my number gets called and i go up and hand them my 'pick up' slip; the guys says he'll go to the back and get them... so he walks away to the back. about 10-15 minutes later; he shows up with a very small yellow envelope. (in my head i'm thinking; there's no WAY a license plate could fit in that thing!)... and he opens it up; and hands me a pair of plates for a MOTORCYCLE APPLICATION~!!! DAH~! i looked at them. and he asked me "are these correct"... and i said "um.. yeah. everything looks fine; MINUS THE FACT THEY'RE NOT FOR MY CAR~!"...anyways, i don't think the guy ever dealt with a situation like that; because it took another 20-30 minutes of talking to superiors and other co-workers before he told me he'd resubmit them to DMV to ask for it to be made onto AUTO plates instead.... sigh... :( so i now have to wait another 6-8 weeks before i get ANOTHER pick up slip; wait in line for ANOTHER 3-4 hours; before i get ANOTHER set of plates which will HOPEFULLY actually fit on the car.... :D :D :D

Cali DMV sucks. I guess it's a prerequisite for DMV to suck everywhere. :( I have NCTURNL & NOCTRNL ofcourse. I really liked NSXTC. :D
