Had the 30K service performed by acura, they say I need new clutch assembly and flywheel. $4000 dollars! Thats what you get for buying a used car I guess. So far I would like RPS but need to know where to have it installed in seattle area any suggestions would be appreciated!

Is your clutch slipping? Why do they think you need a new clutch?

I have RPS, it's pretty heavy pedal pressure and really nice grip, which makes it great for the track.
But it is a little over kill for street. good setup if you're thinking about supercharger in the future.

Forgive me but I dont remember your name but I did meet you and brad on the mt baker run. I had the 03 black on black (yancy). And I do remember you mentioning that you two had replaced your clutches. I would like to do the same but I figure I would have a hard time getting the trans back in to postion with out a lift or something.(I dont work out) Ive been informed that 97+ is a bit more costly. Let me know if your ever back in the area!

I recently (2000 miles ago 3 to 4 months) purchased the car from Niello in sacramento, and have called them to see if they would work something out about the clutch and they seemed fairly willing to help out but they will be calling me back later this week.

I will be getting in touch with you John if things dont work out with Niello.

Another primer reccomended an nsx-r main shaft to adapt a double plate to my 3.2. Any input on why or why not.

I think in order to put the nsx-r main shaft in, you have to break apart the transmission. which could be costly. someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Well yes you would have to take the trans apart to put in the NSX-R shaft..But...you would then have a perfect opportunity to put in the 4:23 final drive if you don't have one already.

When I add trans work to a clutch job it adds about 450$ in labor to the repair.

Well Niello has stepped up to the plate and will be installing a new clutch free of charge. I desired a aftermarket clutch kit but I cant argue with free. Thanks! I will post in the seller and buyer experiences forum after I am home with my new clutch.

WAY TO GO DOC. Those guys are taking care of you. Glad to hear.

I was just about to offer to get SENNAF1 on the hook to help me do yours, oh well, maybe next time.
