Why does that surprise me? Don't you have that super skidpad that will save you from all scratches?

Who would be interested? talking to a shop right now regarding this and trying to set something up. Los Angeles area. Details on price to follow.

Thanks!

Jack

Do they also install 3m Scotchshield window film? I wish my paint warranted the clearbra, but alas at 140k it seems pointless to cover it up now without doing some paintwork first. But I would be interested in the added security afforded by the Scotchshield.

Anyone know if they do all 4 exterior windows, and if it can coexist with prexisting (rear hatch) tinting?

Jack, do you think I can participate but bring my BMW instead? I already have an appt on the 20th though. Would they give me a better price if I'm some how affiliated with this group buy?

I will ask. Why not bring your nsx!:) I imagine bringing another car should not be a problem though. But again I will double check.

By the way, I am still waiting for the pricing sheet. He is getting it together for me.

Highly recommend the clear bra. I had my entire front covered up, plus some custom pieces around the side and rear spats. Very happy with the work by Envisage lab around Torrance. I can dig out their contact for a reference point for your group buy if interested.

I am trying to set everything up through Starshield. I have heard nothing but good things about these guys. Competition is a good thing for the consumer, so willing to compare the pricing. But to be honest the "rough" price quotes I got from Starshield are impressive so far.

I'd agree on shopping around. I have clear bra on previous cars also, and worksmanship seems to matter more in terms of appearance, and also the type of film.

I went to these guys cause they do work for several local ferrari owners, enzo, CGT included. I figure if it's good enough for the enzo, then it's good enough for my NSX :)

Check out the film they use, also previous customer cars. I'll be happy to show you if timing permits at the next meet or something.

Do you know the brand of clear film and its thickness being quoted? I've heard that 3M film is relatively thick, which means good protection against rock chips, but also means the worst orange-peel effect.

I believe he uses both 3m and Avery. When I was asking about my car he said he would give me a choice on which one I want to use. Not sure about the group buy. Will ask.

I'm actually bringing my car to Envisage lab in Torrance because its really close to me, but I initially was going to star shield. I took up a lot of their time, and I didn't want to cancel on them, so I decided to take my 3 series up to them to have them work on it on the 20th. My appt for my NSX with Envisage lab is on the 23rd.

Bain is great@envisage. Did my NSX few months ago. Always booked, hard to get an appt.

I just called StarShield and mentioned the group buy that's going on here in the forums for the NSX, and asked whether he can give me a deal on my 3 series, and he is going to charge me $472 for kit "C" which is their top of the line kit that offers the most coverage. Very cool guy. My appt with them is on the 20th!

Yup, Ryan is awesome! the rough price he quoted me for Kit C for the NSX was untouchable. I need to follow up with him to see what he is doing on the group buy. Sorry for the delay guys, it is out of my hands right now.
