My '94 just quit as I was going about 40mph through town. Pulled over, it had gas, etc., but when ignition was used it merely reved to about 2k then immediately quit. Lots of clicking noises behing the passanger seat as well as the information lights on the dash (gas, oil TCS, ABS etc) all flashing in time with the clicking. three days later it still does the same thing. Any ideas?

It is most likely your ignition switch. This has happened to several others. The clicking of the relays behind your head is indicative of a bad connection. Eliminate this before you go any further, but I'm pretty certain from your description that this is it. If you like, do a search here on "ignition switch" and/or look at the FAQ.

I agree with kpond.

When it happens again, start the car and pull the key SLIGHTLY back (don't turn the car off). This will keep the car on. Now just play with it forward and back... if the car starts acting up, it's your ignition switch.

Jeez, I hope that made sense...

While the ignition switch is often the culprit, that is not always the case.

This happened to me once a couple of years ago, with the exact description as NSXTASYWI posted. In my situation it was the ignitor module. Specifically, a loose connection.

That's funny - This is the same problem that I just experienced. Mine was more gradual, in that the engine will unexpectedly bog and then recover; I don't think it ever entirely died. However, on a rough road, it got to where the engine would bog every 10-15 seconds.

Unfortunately, they don't have the part that I need in stock. Since they have the car anyway, I had them do my 6-yr/90K service (incl. water pump and timing belt). It's probably going to be running rough for a couple more weeks until they get the part they need

I do feel better now that we know what the problem is, though.
