Hello !

I'm looking for a car transport to get my NSX from Toronto to Quebec City. I found out the enclosed ones are more expensive and more difficult to book before Christmas than open transport.

Do you guys have recommandations for good car transport enterprises ? I don't want to leave my NSX to a Google'd guy in Toronto that may have terrible feedback here...

If it was an old, rusty car, I wouldn't mind picking the cheapest on Google, but I see Prime members experience for this one !

PM Oyagi (John in Ottawa) as he had a car transported in the area a few years ago.

Im driving from Toronto to Mt Tremblant boxing day. Just sayin'

I have used Hansens Forwarding to ship a GTR from TO to Ottawa, from Ottawa to TO and my NSX from TO to Ottawa. All 3 times I was happy with service and results. The cars were in open carriers though, so if you are picky about scratches, you need to have someone clingwrap the car for you.

I say that you watch the weather and when it looks good, book a porter flight and let'er'rip all the way home!

Drive it!

If you have issues, John in Ottawa can take it and you can ship it from there. Im sure that there are friendlies all along the way that can bail you out if needed.

Im here to help in TO if you need.

Thanks everyone, very kind and helping answers

Is open transport much worse than driving outside ?
What is "wrapping" the car, for such shipping ? Like painters' tape on all the frontal areas ?

Of course I'd rather flight to Toronto, drive the car back, and meet NSXers down the road  Unfortunately my schedule only allows me this weekend to make the trip, and the car may not be ready, so I'm preparing a B plan.

I'll try your two news suggestions. Worst case scenario is that the car would sit 2-3 more weeks (!) in Toronto before I can pick it up myself...

Wrapping for shipping is easy. You can use painter's tape or just literally wrapping the exterior in saran wrap (shipping companies use this stuff on skids).

Two thumbs up for TFX !

Thanks guys for the excellent reference !

Good price, excellent service, they do take care of the cars
