Guys please help me if you see this my car is already on the lift. I need some alignment specs. Just installed NT01 235/17 front 275/18 rear. Suspension setup is with Dave's front clamps, rear beam bushings, toe links, and front camber bushings that are going in now. 1000# front springs and 600 rear. I'm just setting the car up for one event at WGI and then going back to my smaller AD08's so I need track spec.

Front and rear negative camber... -2.5 or -3?

Toe settings considering I have all the non compliant stuff. 0-2 seems acceptable front and rear but what's ideal? Consider I've only got about 18 track days. I don't know if that matters for safety but before these tires was definitely leaning more towards understeer.

I'm just not sure how far to go with negative camber and how low with toe. Caster is maxed and I was going to go -3 front and rear and 0 toe all around. Does that sound ok?

Regan is that a Harpoon IPA?

Brian I have that same page saved in my phone but billy gave a range. I can get over 3 with Dave's bushings front and rear but he just told me 3 front 2.4 rear .1 toe out front .1 to in rear. So I gave my guy that spec.

You know what is still a mystery is the rear sway bar thing. He runs no rear bar. But 1K2Go likes the thick rear bar. Dal Motorsport ran no rear bar... Dali likes a thick rear bar. With my 1000/600 it's very very tough to get the cars tail to swing out. I'm no expert but I think I would LIKE more rear bar. I don't know how many guts run so much bar up front, little to nothing rear, and are happy like that. The one place there is no consistency between track guys is the rear bar, even though many share tires, camber, front bar, etc.

hey Dave hope you got my email ok, my sways are the Dali "Q" bar (is that his thickest one before the Trophy's) on front and his 'street/track' bar out back car does not slide at all and i throw her into some corners at times.

my car is lowered and I have them set it at autocross mode. handles like a freaking beast

I love the way my car is setup right now but that's probably due to the dampers. My suspension has more rear bias 9k/11k spring rates. Type R front bar. Stock NA2 rear bar.

If anything i'll consider upgrading to 14k rears which is what my dampers originally shipped with. After that, Dali's 1" Trophy front, and 0.875" rear to match but I have no desire to run sticky R-Comps so jury's still out.

One of these days i'll get to do a ride along in Wil's car and see how good those KW V3s are on the track. You guys certainly are very fast on them. They are very overrated on the BRZ/FRS platform.

I searched my files and couldn't find the article that Comptech wrote several years regarding alignment tuning for the track. It was a pretty good set-up. I am sure one of the old Primers may know this ....... but you asked this question befor no?!

Having said this, you want about 0.5 less camber in the rear than the front. So if you can pull -3 in the front, go -2.5 for the rear. Since you are driving to WGI, -2.5 front and -2.0 for the rear should be fine for street tire, and I wouldn't go too far with toe out in the front; 4mm for the rear would be max. Both SOURCENSX and RYU give good parameters. Max out on caster.

I'm very curious to see how those front tires fit.....take a pic and tell us what wheel size and et.

That rear 275 is on an 18x9 ET25. The font rubs but not as much as I thought. Dave's camber kit being installed now then it's going on the alignment rack for -3 front negative camber. I will drive it back and take some pics. I will decide on what to do with the fender liner and fender rolling once I see it with the extra camber.

The more aggressive camber of -3 may benefit but remember you are driving to/from the track.

You mean front or rear? What's wrong with driving it to and from the track like that other than tire wear? It is 300 miles away.

-3 on the front. The rear is usually 0.5 less than the front so -2.5. This pulls the tires inside the fender. The front rubs on the inside liner or the fender liner? The latter should be noticeable with compression. From the pictures it seems your wheels are still sticking out more than I would expect.

300 miles to/from if mostly straight line driving may give you a bit more ware on the inside.

Yeah I'm going 3 front and 2.5 rear. I don't know where it rubs honestly I just hear it. I will look at it in more detail tonight. I had them installed at one shop then drove straight to another shop for the bushing install and alignment. TiDave that guy... whenever I call him with an installation question he picks up his phone. His parts cost more than others but his quality of parts and service are great.

So meanwhile this car keep costing me more and more and more money I'm honestly getting close to Ford GT pricing now. This bushing and that bushing... Every part needs another part then that part needs another part still.

Hrant I'm sure there is no spacer. My et rears is by aggressive at 25 not the normal 35. The rear doesn't seem to rub knock on wood.

Dave is just more manly then you or I.

I can't stand it when Dave is cooler than me so I ordered DF front fenders last week.

I might go this route too... Did you get them from thomas?

So I still couldn't get more than -2.6 front. He said it was maxed. Even with my bushing kit. $440 for the part, $75 to press in, $435 for install, that was a quick GRAND for one more degree of negative camber up front. Car feels great though. I am at 2.6 front, 2.3 rear. 0.4 degree toe out front each side (.8 total) and 1.35 or so toe in each side, 2.7 total. Caster is 9.4 and 9.6. They ran out of time, I can't go back before my track event, I will have to run like this. This is what I have for clearance:

Say bye bye to those liners and maybe fenders :(

Was your alignment guy experienced with the NSX? I mentioned before it requires some fiddling and if not done in a particular order you won't get the 3degs. With the bushings you should have gotten more I think.

Move to Cali. More guys know how to work on the NSX here :) :) :) or just buy that Ford GT!

You know how to get a hold of me if you want to discuss the DF fenders. DF is always sensitive about what's posted online.

btw.. you have very nice nails Dave.
