BRAKE light and Anti lock light have lit up, where to look first?

Ok so here’s a final update. I kept looking at the parking brake switch and when I manually pushed it it would not make the light go out. Started testing the whole console out so that I could remove the switch and try to test it out of the car only to find I was having an issue trying to get the plug part off it’s mount. With the switch u plugged I started the car and the light was out. I thought “huh”. Lol. I then plugged the switch in with the car running and the light came on. I then manually pushed on the switch at at that point it started working again. This is one of those instances where you throw up your hands and say, it it happens again I’ll look at swapping switches but until then I’ll just let it go.

Question though on this. There’s only one wire on this switch, does it work by being grounded out?

Yes the two wires connected to the cap are the float switch. It has been 2 years since I flushed my brake system. As I recall the MC float switch in the cap is connected to the body harness through two bullet style connectors that should just pull apart. If you get a copy of the NSX service manual (link in the red banner at the top of the NSX Prime page), check the Brake Warning System section in the Body Electrical chapter of the manual. That page describes the cap and float switch operation.

The same page also describes the operation (and location) of the switch on the parking brake lever. The manual describes the switch test procedure (switch closed when brake lever engaged (up) and switch open when lever is down). My guess is the switch is staying closed when the lever is down. The switch may be loose or damaged. I suggest a simple multimeter type tester set on continuity check or on ohmmeter could be used to check the operation of the switch.

See my post before yours. I think the parking brake switch was stuck in some way. It’s working as of ten minutes ago when I was last out in the garage. Going to check again tomorrow after it sits and I put everything back together.

Yes

Its looking kind of grungy in there. I expect the contact within the switch is dirty and may be worn. I don't like pulling stuff apart just because things (tabs) tend to get broken. As a result, I would be inclined to replace it while I have access to avoid having to take things apart again. However, that is just me.

I havne't put things together yet so I'll cleaning things up tomorrow night when I put it all back together. Worst case is it takes me 15 minutes to open it up again. I'm just glad I am saving a trip to the dealer for what I was thinking it possibly was.
