just received three sets over here in europe from Blodi
very nice product, very fast and nice contact.
MANY THANKS AGAIN !

Thanks again for your order! Hope you enjoy them.

I am now out of the smoked version again. I will get more produced within the next few weeks hopefully. I still have several sets of clear though ready to ship!

please pm me when you have the smoked lenses in stock, ready to buy! i have been searching on where to get these covers (new to the forum)

Still no tinted ones, sorry guys, been busy moving. But I do still have plenty of clear ones for those who are interested. As soon as I am a bit more settled I'll get the tinted ones back in stock.

Good news. Just got a batch of tinted ones from the supplier! I still need to get them built up and packaged before I'll open the ordering back up again. Hope to get that done in the next few days. I'll update the thread once I get that done.

How many did you get? I'd like a set

Got 10 sets. Hopefully should last a little while. I might be able to get to building them Saturday...insanely busy right now, but want to get these available to all those who've been waiting so long.

blodi - i've always loved these lens covers but what's held me back so far from buying are the rivets that hold the plastic fasteners in place. Have you looked into using epoxy or some type of double sided tape to secure them to the lens?

I'm guessing you probably did?

I thought about other ways to attach them to the tabs...epoxy would be hard to get a consistant bond on this material, it may also become more noticable if it wasn't an even layer. It also could weaken and yellow over time...
Double sided tape wouldn't be strong enough to hold since there is a lot of strain on the bolts where they are as they hold the cover to the bend of the cars shape....if that makes sense. Both the Mugen and Route KS versions use hard fastners as well. With the aero force that these things have to take at speed as well...I wouldn't want one flying off.
Another reason is getting as consistent of fit as possible. With the screws, I know that each lens and tab are being joined in the same way everytime....I couldn't really do that with epoxy or tape.
Also on the tinted ones....I don't find the fastening bolts are that noticeable at first glance. I am sure others with them can chime in.

Got the covers, Thank You! Quick shipping!

Question, how are these installed?

Question, how do you clean these? I don't want to scratch them up like typical lexan does.

Installation video is here...a bit long winded, but shows how to do it.

You can pull them out to clean them. They are polycarbonate, so they should be a bit tougher than lexan. The idea was to make them easy to remove for cleaning. I just use a regular old rag to wipe them off on my car.

Little update on mine after about 5K miles of use, the screws started to rust, and I wanted a clean smooth flush look, so I spent $7 at Ace, got some nice stainless hardware, spent a few hours countersinking and installing new parts, and the end result is stunningly clean.

There's enough thickness in the plexi to countersink? That's cool...

Very nice! I will try to look into this for future sets when I have them cut. But at at least people know this is possible for now on their own!
