Well guys, I knew the Tubi was louder than stock, but did not think it was all that loud (neither did my instructor). But Road Atlanta has an 85dB sound limit during Sunday morning quiet time, and I was blowing at least a 90dB while passing all those slow 911's.:D

They allowed me to go out for the second session if I promised no v-tech, which I tried very hard to do:(, and did not get another flag. Just thought I would let everyone know for future reference.

Yes, we have the same limits at LimeRock, I think it is 82db. I used to have an RM, which would have gotten black flagged at idle

. I actually was hoping the Tubi would get by

and we thought 90dB here in west coast is harsh (Laguna Seca).

On weekdays, the dB limit a Laguna Seca is lower - in the 80's also.

I took Skippy school with a Laguna Seca official and he indicated that on weekdays, the dB limit was 85. I just spoke with one of his folks and it seems that depending on the deal that an event sponsor cuts, the limit can be anywhere from 85 dB to 92 dB on weekdays. Go figure...

Anyway, I'm keeping the stock header/exhaust!

I'm keeping the Tubi and not going to the track any time soon....

Please describe the rest of your setup -- do you have aftermarket headers ?? cats??

My Taitec JGTC setup is pretty loud too.

Short-shifting is always an alternative, albeit your giving up some of the aural experience.

I am stock except for the Tubi and a K&N cone filter. I did short shift the second session and had no problems. I was black flagged after a long blast down the front straight to pass a 911, most of the straight between 6000 and 8000 rpm.

I am not upset, just surprised. Most everyone who has ridden in the car at the track comments how they enjoy the exhaust note. Just letting other Tubi owners know about the possible future noise issues.
