I just installed these test pipes and mated them to my Pride exhaust...the sounds is absolutely out of this world! Thanks Angus:biggrin:

I am waiting to hear the sound clips...

I am running stock cats with a Pride V2. Trying to reduce drone between 2000-2900RPM. Do you think that either of your products (high flow cat and res test pipe) will help?

The resonated test pipes did eliminate the drone in the car that we tested.

I have a set of 95-99 100 cell cats and a set of resonated test pipes ready to go!

Has anyone gotten any sound clips yet? I want to tone my car down a bit.

If your car currently has non-resonated test pipes, this will very significantly tone it down.

I have done these for many years on a one off basis and every single person is happy - I even ran them myself when my car was N/A.

Yeah I've just got normal test pipes, I love the sound but wouldn't mind toning down the rasp a little bit.

How does the sound compare to just having the cats in?

Because these are not "mufflers" per se, they will cancel the rasp without too much actual sound attenuation - most people find the rasp annoying while the sound level is not the issue - that being said they will reduce the overall sound level some but not much.

Compared to cats, these sound more like the test pipes but smoother without rasp.

Alright you've convinced me  you've got a PM ;)

I currently have one set of cats and one set of test pipes ready to ship for '95-'99 (and for those using the '95-'99 headers on a 91-94 car)

Bumping this up to the top because I'm ready for a set of 91-94 resonated test pipes made by Angus! I love my AP-X!

I couldn't justify putting some Lovefab FI headers (well... spending the $2500) on my otherwise stock 91, at the moment. I figured why not mate some Angus made test pipes up to his superb AP-X and get a little more noise. PLEASE let me know when the 91-94 batches are done!

Did that take a lot of the rasp away? From the vid it's hard to tell. I'm looking for something that quiets the low rpm rasp around 2k/2.5k.

I can't really speak to it removing the rasp as I went from stock cats and stock exhaust to the APX resonated test pipes and APX exhaust in one evening... but there is no tinny raspy noises at 2-2500RPM on my setup.

The answer to your question is yes, it'll sound more like the OEM cat sound but just as loud as sraight pipes - if that makes sense.

The whole reason I started doing these is that (when my car was N/A) I could not stand the rasp - these will fix that.
