I am going out on a limb and predicting that you are a D- student. Unless I misunderstand the Canadian to English translation, your spelling and grammar skills are roughly 2nd grade quality.

Holy crap - and some people wonder why our testing scores lag most other developed countries? Spellcheck has spawned an entire generation that doesn't know how to spell or proofread. This obviously isn't a pet peeve of everyone, but it drives me crazy, and I immediately infer the maturity level and intelligence of someone from how they post. I'm not encouraged by what I see.

oops sorry bout that. i was in a hurry, someone pulled a fire alarm in my residence.

"What? A fire in my house? Holy crap, I've got to get out of here, but wait I need to find out if there are any students on NSXPrime first. The fire can wait."

It would have sounded better if you had just said you were careless in your typing. That was funny.

Too much TV and less book is probably the reason why.

OK OK! I see my mistake SORRY! I type fast and when I am on forums I dont really pay attention. I post and I move on. But I do proofread my work when it comes to my essays and such. For some reason, I dont online. And since I am in a low placement in English, it isn't by best subject, but I am trying to improve, we all make mistakes!

So IF this is a personal issue for you, why dont you find a away to get a spell checker for when we reply, EVEN for the Quick Reply (which I am typing this in now).

So, next time I will be more aware of what I am typing.

And as for reading. I read magazines (not car ones, Newsweek, Money, Fortune) and I DONT!!!!! DO NOT!!!! just look at pictures and diagrams. And I dont watch alot of TV...if I do its Seinfeld and Family Guy with a little bit of Simpsons.

BTW::: I got PSATs tomorrow...hope I do good in the essay:smile:

well when the alarm rings for the 4 th time consecutively this morning, you take it less and less seriously. BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO GET OUT! CAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW!

What genre of science?

I recently graduated college... Arizona State University (Computer Engineering)... I'm going back for my PhD sometime in the next 5-8 years (if that counts).

undecide yet. just general for now.

It is somewhat disheartening to see the quality of the writing in posts on message boards throughout the Internet. There's a message board for car enthusiats in the MD/DC area and there are any number of folks that post on that message board that are unable to string a coherent sentence together. Not sure who these folks are, but they sure don't inspire confidence about the future of this country. I'm relatively young, but I'm educated and hard working, so I take pride in everything I do, even posting on the Internet. That's not to say I won't make typos from time to time, but I try to write sentences that make sense. Nevertheless, for the young guys on here, someday you'll realize that ALL of your actions are a reflection of who you are. To say you're only careless when it doesn't matter (i.e., posting on the Internet) really suggests that you are lazy and/or sloppy. If you don't care, you're not alone, many of your contemporaries don't either. Consider being an adult and taking the extra ten seconds to sound like one.

Senior MechE @ Lafayette College ...

My VR-4 is my money pit, and I'm hoping to find a nice clean NSX in the near future...

Speaking of the near future ... is anyone on here looking for some freshly graduated MechEs? :)

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his
employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house-building business and
live a more
leisurely life with his wife enjoying his extended family. He would miss
the paycheck,
but he needed to retire. They could get by.
The contractor was sorry to see his good worker goes and asked if
he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said
yes, but
in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted
to shoddy
workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a
dedicated career.

When the carpenter finished his work the employer came to inspect the house.
He handed
the front-door key to the carpenter. "This is your house," he said, "my
gift to you."
The carpenter was shocked! What a shame! If he had only known he was
building his own
house, he would have done it all so differently.

So it is with us. We build our lives, a day at a time, often putting less
than our best into the
building. Then with a shock we realize we have to live in the house we have
built. If we could
do it over, we'd do it much differently. But we cannot go back.

You are the carpenter. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect
a wall.
"Life is a do-it-yourself project," someone has said. Your attitudes and
the choices you make
today, build the "house" you live in tomorrow. Build wisely!
