Apparently the "juvenile" is having his name withheld because of the law. But from the pictures, I'm assuming Hogan's son was driving and his wife was co pilot....

I doubt that who was driving the car was the issue:tongue:

You would think that anyone with the funds to own/drive that car would have it regularly maintained and therefore fuel leak free:rolleyes:

Or maybe they just got it back from the Lambo service Dept:eek:

Being regularly maintained has nothing to do with it. Ferraris and Lambos are junk pure and simple and any one of them could sponstaneously combust without warning. You can wrap a piece of shit in pretty coachwork but underneath, it's still a piece of shit.

Quote from the last picture....
Charred remains of the yellow Lamborghini VT that caught fire and burned to wreckage. Witnesses said that Linda Bollea, wife of Hulk Hogan, was in the car along with the couple's son, Nick, 16.

He is a amatuer drifter, probably was trying to drift and broke something loose..  Good thing everyone got out ok.

Absolutely 100% agree!

Too many of these Italian POS spontaneously combusting for it to be anything else than poor engineering

To say that both Ferraris and Lambos are POS because of a few bad apples is really talking out of your ass (pun intended)

does that make the NSX a POS? Time to take your meds Hugh.

It's more than a few bad apples... It's hundreds! And if you have a LP640 Lambo... The chances are like 50% that it will be destroyed by erupting in an "unexplained" or "freak accidental" fire... Yeah right...

One NSX (maybe 2) and hundreds of Lambo's and Ferrari's... Stastics tend to back up the hypothesis that they are fundamentally flawed and therefore... I'll stick with my assessment that all Italian cars are POS... And in fact DEATHTRAPS!!!

The few cars they do manage to scrounge together and sell to the public are pure unadulterated junk. Expensive, but junk nonetheless. The price of poo knows no boundaries. :)

Well opinions are like Ass &*s everyone (except Hugh) has one. While the NSX has many merits , to simply say that "all" Italian cars are POS is an incorrect generalization.(Enzo,Galardo,Miura) PS. Is that thing under your rear glass to keep up with those "Italian Cars" or is it just to cover up the 6 cylinder under there? :)

Hogan's kid responds on supraforums.com:

"the car was cecile barker's-the owner of sobe entertainment(the label to sign my sis)
i drive some of his exotics weekly to keep them running, this lambo hadnt been driven in 3 years so cecile has a guy change the battery and says its fine to drive, so im driving it myself and im head to bal harbor when i noticed the gauge cluster died and im like wtf, and almost seconds after that i smelled electrical fire and by the time i pulled over the back end of car was on fire and i called 911 and tried to find a fire extinguisher but no luck and by the time the fire truck got there the car was totaled

anywas ill post my phone pics of the car on fire later"

Yes it is a generalisation to say all Italian cars are POS... There are some exceptions but in general most of them are POS. I don't think I'm incorrect in saying that.

Now that "thing" under the LEXAN is there not to keep up with any car in particular but I have found on the track that Italian cars are not that fast. Porsches, Skylines, WRX's and Lotus's etc all seem to be faster than any Italian car out there. I've never had an Italian car come close in any event.

Having said that, I've never come up against an Enzo either... But on paper I should be able to hold my own.

We might find out soon... I'm thinking of shipping my NSX to Dubai! There are some new racetracks around the UAE here and monthly track events...
