Aluminum rear beam on my 93nsx???

I thought pre 97 NSXs came with steel beams. The car has never been wrecked as fas as I know,no damage whatsoever. Maybe this is partly why my car was so light?

My 93 was steel until I replaced it with a 2004 one.

The previous owner might have changed it.

Ok, lets get this straight.
In my engine bay......
My front beam appears to be stamped steel.
My rear beam is aluminum.
See page 74 of the online manual or 5-31.
Hope this clears things up.

i think the owner is talking about the bumper beam. as i recall the rear beam is steel until 1997.

my 93 bumper beams were steel. i thought the later model came with alum from all the reading on prime but i could not order/find alum bumper beams nor able to buy them from the dealer. I do beliveve they exist but seems pretty hard to find. If you have one, you are one lucky dude.
