Aerochargers TT more testing

This still in the works? Curiousity has gotten the better of me.

Sorry for the delay but between the real job and the track calling me I have not kept this thread upto date.

This still in the works? Curiousity has gotten the better of me.

Yes it is, testing is finally complete, some street driving with three hard years of track testing and I think we are ready to go. I have three complete kits for 2000-2005 being built now, but they are spoken for. I have 10 intercooler cores being built now, machine work is completed for the cores just need the cores themself welding in then they are ready to go. I have everything set to build more Intercoolers if need be as they can be used on any forced air system that retains the factory intake manifold.

I have no idea how I am going to market this system yet and have not really got any hard numbers on price. I had hoped to have all this worked out over the winter and ready for a spring launch but COTA in February and Barber in early April screwed that up.

By the way second time at COTA was amazing, shaved many seconds off my best time last year and got down to a 2:35.61 with unfaverable weather conditions, there is still lots more time to be had, maybe next year.

Any updates? Just came across this and the intercooler is just what I need.

I would be interested in a intercooler kit for my 1992. could you please PM me a price?

It has been a very long process but it was worth it. Here is some NSX machinist porn for you.

Just wanted to thank @DDozier for the intercooler. It just arrived and it looks great. Welds look very well done, and being a Bell Intercooler core gives me very good confidence in how well it will perform. Dave also test fit the intercooler against a test manifold to make sure fitment is correct. I can't wait to use it in my setup. Should have data for you dave later this month when I hit the dyno(fingers crossed).

If AEM ever releases the Infinity-10 I will make the move to the new ECU and deal with the emmisions issues at the time of plate renewals. I will have to learn the new ECU anyway and might as well learn it on my car. I am excited to see if my idea of programming the vane controllers via the spare DBW circiut that the I-10 has will work. IF it does then I will have any spool rate and any boost level at any RPM all programmable and can set it to react to any other sensor connected to the I-10. This will give the system complete flexibility and the control will only be limited by ones willingness to test and program. With this hopefully simple addition I will have OEM level tuning control of how the turbo acts. But that is phase two if I ever get there.

Dave

Now that the Infinity is out, will you be going to phase II?

I am not sure, I am thinking I need to build something a little safer to go on track with, something with a cage.

So I may skip phase II and go straight to III, a full blown track rat with a cage and no other interior and retire this car to street duties only.

Coincidentally, i'm subscribing to the same. Even thinking of softening up the NSX for 100% street duty.

I'm interested to hear where you guys end up, since this is also my plan. The budget has put it off a bit and my inexperience has set the opening at a Miata or the like, but I still like to think about the future.

So wait...does this mean development of your full turbo kit is now being put on hold?

Nothing is on hold, the kit is available now if you send your car to me in ST Louis for the install and tune.

A boxed kit may be available soon for the 91-94 cars using the OEM ECU as the tuning solution. The ECU project and my track schedule has been the delay on the turbo kit.
