Advan Model 5's have always been my favorite wheels for the NSX. Unfortunately, they've been discontinued. I noticed some people getting Advan T5's. Are they the closest in look to the older version? Any other recommended 5 spoke rims?

I probably won't be tracking but you never know.

I have a set of Model 5 with <2500 miles on them I would be willing to sell. They are for a widebody car though.

We can supply the Prodrive wheels. These are forged compared to the Advans. However, with the exchange, they are currently around $4000.00 for a set with shipping. If you're interested, please drop us a line.

The real deal...

These have come & gone for weeks on ebay. Presumably, they'll be re-listed again. It's a workable/streetable size for the NSX, but not ideal. Also, surface-freight (ie. ship) would be a lot less than what the seller has quoted for shipping. Caveat emptor, as it is Eastern Europe (Latvia).

Otherwise, used JDM wheels sites on the interwebz often have Advan AVS Model 5's in NSX applicable sizes (from Skyline's, RX-7's, 300z's & other NSX'es). But, they are generally never cheap/inexpensive, though still very fairly priced for a much sought after wheel that is now discontinued.

Also, don't rule-out previously offered replicas (namely ADR Kazai) which at times can be cosmetically/visually on par (but weigh more as well as vary in quality/durability). The Model 5 is quite a light wheel for being cast construction/fabrication (the 17x7/17x9 OEM sizes of the Model 5 are lighter than the same-sized forged '02+ OEM wheels, but the latter are presumably stronger being forged).

Consider looking in foreign markets. I had a JDM used wheel company find me a Model 5 17/18 NSX set in Tokyo.
All in all relatively cheap for a discontinued wheel set.
Had them shipped to US and then refinished.

The T5's don't do it for me as a replacement for the Model 5, and of course the Prodrive's are amazing but a lot of $$.

So the Prodrive is a copy or "Fake" Advan Model 5, that is actually made better and costs more? Hmmm.
