Abs Yellow Light

Hello-While driving my NSX to a local event yesterday, my yellow ABS light came on and won't go out. When I checked my fluid level, I noticed that it was over the max level and the top of the res. bottle was wet. I removed some of the brake fluid, but this did not solve the problem. I've been reading a lot about going out and exercising the brakes. Has anyone been able to correct this problem by doing this? My brakes where just serviced about 300 miles ago (fluid). Has anybody had this same problem? Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks for your help

The wet bottle means that it is overflowing, which means that it is operating when it is not supposed to....

My best guess is that the system is not holding pressure, trying to pump it up and is timing out.

You should be able to ask the ALB system what the problem is.

An ALB flush/fill can't hurt. It is time for me too, so maybe we can make a party of it....you are not too far away from me.

This is the classic stuck selonoid issue with the NSX ABS system. First thing to do is to start the car with the ABS light off (should stay off for 30 seconds or so) and go out and get the ABS to kick in, BEFORE the light reappears. Repeat about 5-6 times and see if it clears up. If no, fill us in on what is happening:).

I had this problem. I assume you may have heard the ALB pump runninig for about 1-2 minutes and then the light came on and pump stopped? I was able to cure mine by finding a puddle and starting the car, moving over the puddle and slamming brakes until it reset itself (sticking valves). The fluid out the top is a sure sign.

If you haven't done a ABS brake flush, do that first. Then go out and stomp on the brake to activate the system and check the level. Then check the fluid level. This often solves the problem. Over time the brake fluid gets air in it and the pump never really reaches full pressure and keeps on pumping. Also the foaming action fills up that reservoir to overflowing very easily. This is why you never want to exceed the max level on the reservoir. Good luck and let us know.

Just in case the solenoid/fluid won't be the issue: The bulb lights also when one of the wheel sensors has gone bad. In that case ABS doesn't work any more - you can check it by trying to block the wheels.

THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE HELP...I went out and and hit the brakes hard several times and the yellow light went out. The system seems to be working nicely now. I'll "work out" the ABS brake system from time to time from now on.
