Too many people are stuck in the designer label trap that has been set up to empty wallets with products that really are not all they are hyped up to be.
The Ford GT looks spectacular - but it's a 15 foot car. It only looks good from 15 feet away. Up close, its body panel gaps are wider than a Saturn's. The hand painter doesn't bother to continue the $6,000 stripe over the rear spoiler lip. The subwoofer grille protruding between the seats is just plain goofy. Not the sort of finesse expected in a $150K halo car, regardless of badge. A Bentley Continental GT, while a different type of ride altogether, totally outclasses the Ford GT in terms of execution for about the same price.
This is a sad but telling perspective on the car: Jeremy Clarkson's Ford GT.
