Pulled the trigger and wired the money for this one yesterday, 52k miles
Car has resided in SoCal for all but 500 miles. I paid up a little
for this one vs other ones but the service was up to date including recent
timing belt, hoses replaced, various seals replaced to the tune of $7,000.
Actually think is was a good deal if I subtract $7k from the price vs other
low mile ones if I add on $7k for needed maintenance to other prices.
I think it is good advice to buy one that has been maintained as advised
by forum members. Wanted a red one but decided silver was nice too.
Flew out to SoCal from Houston and looked at it last week. I felt like the poor boy at the
show room. There was a red $3million 300SL gullwing in the parking lot getting
a sun tan. Should get it shortly. Did manage to get a new set of tires thrown in.
Took it to the local Acura dealer with an NSX specialist to go over it.
They had the car in there for much of the maintenance. Final offer was throw in
4 new tires and I'd buy and not finish the remaining inspections. I thought they
could do 4 flat rate hours in an afternoon but they only got a portion of the
inspections done in 24 hours and the dealer wasn't excited at the prospect
of the car being gone 3 days from the show room. Reviewed several sources
for what to look for in buying an NSX.
