96 Electrical Troubleshooting Manual

Hey Prime. I’m looking for a 96 electrical troubleshooting manual. The one I found on here is missing the pages for the cluster. Not sure if it’s the same for 91-96 or specific for 95-96. Lots of 97 plus on eBay but was hoping for my year unless nothing changed from 91-96. Any help is appreciated.

1997 is the transition to the NA2 which is why Honda re issued all the service manuals rather than just doing supplements / updates so not the best choice for a 1996 car.

Heineken, reading your post about the Gauge Cluster Tester Mark II, looks like the 96 cluster follows the electrical troubleshooting manual from 97-05 instead of the 91-96 for the cluster pin out. Which is confusing because I would have imagined 91-96 would be relatively close and then 97-05. Appears the cluster pins are 96-05 for my year which would indicate a design change for the 96 cluster. Maybe that’s why it’s omitted from the service manual to not confuse people. I ordered the supplement manual for 96 to see if there is any info in there. Again, no rush and appreciate your help.

The cluster pinning changed for the build year 1995. In addition, Honda changed the way they count the pins somewhere along the way.

If I remember correctly, the physical ETMs from 1991, 1997 and 2002 all contain cluster information.

What problem(s) are you trying to solve?

Cluster year 1996 is same as 1995.

That helps that it changed in 95 and that 95-96 are the same. I just have to track down the pin out. I am looking to install a digital cluster and have to add each wire separately.
