SO, is it a rule that the faster an aftermarket car can go, the more ugly the aftermarket tries to make it?

the Engine that burns twice as bright, has its transmission half as long? =)

that seems to be the only thing that really blows up in these 700+ hp cars with built engines =)

I don't know about that....my uncle inlaw has a mitsu 3000gt 4 that has 2 large turbos and all sorts of other mods to get it up to 867hp and that damn thing blows up (shatters a piston,blows head gasket,cracks head ect ect ) on average 3 times a year. :frown:

Doesn't surprise me. Had a friend who had a gt4 that had massive engine problems at 50k miles and he didn't even beat on it. Cost him $5k to have it fixed.

Sounds like he needs to fire his engine builder and/or tuner.

he lives in FL you prolly don't know him,, his car has some super duper fuel management system and it has been tuned by some very reputable tuners...the laws of physics cant be broken forever, if you push an engine to its limits eventually its going to break at its weakest link.

The 3si community like the NSX community, is relatively small. The few people that are making 800+ hp out of a 6G motor, are famous.
