Last month, I went to the port to pick up 3 cars I imported from Japan. And one of them got broken into and got TV/Stereo system stolen. And in another car, there was supposed to be 5 rare NSX models I bought in Japan. (Kyosho and some other ones). And they were missing... It took me a lot of time to find those models when I was buying them, and I'm sure people who were working at the port who stole them don't even know what they are, they probably think its a model of Ferrari, and probably going to give them to their children for Xmas gift. So, I imagine this scenario:

Ding Dong...
Dad> Hi kids, I'm home. Merry Xmas.
Kid1> Daddy, can I open the Xmas prezzie?
Dad> Sure son.
Kid rips the wrapping...
Dad> I hope you like the red Ferrari, one day you'll own one.
Kid1> Dad, why does it say Honda?
Dad> ...

You mentioned Kyosho, so can I ass/u/me these are radio controlled models?

Yeah that stinks... last years some $(#*@#$% smashed my passenger side window and rip out my CD player AND F---ING STOLE MY LITTLE TOY FERRARI F40 THAT MY BROTHER GAVE ME AS A GIFT WHEN I WAS 5 YEARS OLD!!! *sigh* I hate thieves...

Sorry to hear it.

I met a fellow a few years back. and he moves from Calif to Hawaii and back. He ships his car over with him. He told me that you have to strip out all the radio and personal belonging before car get on a boat. Ship worker or dock workers have too much time to break into cars to steal things. He said it is a usual thing.

He end up shipping all his crap in another crate or with another shipping method.

thieves

Yes thieves @#$!*, couple of months ago a thief broke into my wife's MDX and stole some change with the ashtray and my son's car seat, (now come on what kind of parent steals their kids car seat). Or who would buy a stolen car seat.
