3rd Annual "Tax Relief Drive" - April 28th 2007

Hopefully everyone that signed-up and paid received the meeting point.

Great pics Randy!

Yes, thank you Scott, John, Gil and others that helped organize the day. A great route, with new roads I've never traveled. Great seeing everyone again and spending the day enjoying the NSX!

Just to be clear, Scott and John did everything! I did the copying work needed for the handouts, glad to assist, but these two put the event together. My thanks to them for a first class event

did the 2 other filters make it to you in time? Great to meet you!!
Matt

We received the filters on Friday morning.

Thank you Planet Acura for supporting the Cal Coastal NSX Group!

Troy - glad you guys had a fun ride. Wish I could have made it with you guys.

Logging into work via VPN right now to continue our disaster recovery. :(

It was a pleasure to meet everyone yesterday. Finally, I can put faces in the names. Thanks to all that help organize the event - ss_md, anytime & group 2 lead car/navigator to name a few. It was a lot of fun but at the same time they made sure everybody was safe. Also, Thanks to Planet Acura for the wonderful raffle prices (although I didn't win any) .

Thanks again and hope to see all on the next drive

Henry

I second (by now, seventh!) the sentiment, and thanks to everyone else, especially in group 1, for your support and patience as I lost my coolant cap. Whiile it may have slowed down the average speed, I hope it didn't slow down your amount of fun!

Dave

PS TheYellowBeast is doing fine, though I almost called a tow truck when I also realized I was out of windshield washer solution... only to remember, I don't have my windshield wipers on! :)

Thanks to everyone that participated in this years "Tax Relief Drive". If it weren't for the drivers and their passengers, we wouldn't have such great fun.

Gil, John and Troy thanks for the behind the scenes help.

Anyone ready for a "Canyon Run"???? Details to be posted soon!

Sry i couldnt stick around, wasnt old enough to eat at the casino :frown:

That is just wrong about not allowing people to enter the restaurant area. Sorry you weren't able to join us. The raffle results will be different, I'll bet.

You know, if I did win something, I'd think that there is a silver NSX conspiracy.

Fact #1 The winners of the raffle prices are Claus, Dave, Steve and I .... that's 2 Kaiser and 2 Sebring.

Fact #2 Take a look at the photos thread. Most of the pics have silver NSXs in them.

I agree! They should have atleast let esenex 95t eat at the restaurant. That's totally ridiculous:mad:

Chris - Wait till I post the ones I took. Most of it was pictures of a silver NSX with the gruppem exhaust - hint..

Yes, I used the search. I have scanned through the pages and the pics too. Where did you guys go? It looks like Wrightwood or Angeles Crest. Am I correct? The casino kinda threw me off though. I had to work, so no fun for me this year.

Hey, you're pretty good. Yes, we went through Wrightwood, across the I-15 freeway, through Crestline, and ended up at San Manuel Casino.

Funny, or not so funny, depending how you look at it…

I had initially hoped to participate in this one (I’ve only been on one organized drive so far), but I have the in-laws visiting from the east coast. With the organizers not willing to give starting and ending zip codes, I never actually signed up. I thought: “oh, this thing will probably be in <st1:city w:st="on">San Diego</st1:city>, or <st1:city w:st="on"><st1>Malibu</st1></st1:city>, and god, I’ll be gone all day, that’s just not gonna work.”

Who knew the drive was going to be in my own backyard?!

Now that the snow is gone, I’m up the 18, 330, 38, and the 138 a few times a month with a friend who owns an S2000. In fact, since I didn’t sign up for the Tax Relief Drive, I thought I had to at least slip out until lunch and take a drive. So, this Saturday we left <st1:city w:st="on"><st1>Redlands</st1></st1:city> at 7:30am, drove up the 18, took the 138 through Crestline, crossed over I-15 and took the 2 until the (current) end just past Big Pines. Drove the return trip coming down<st1> <st1>Lone</st1><st1> Pine </st1><st1>Canyon</st1></st1> out of Wrightwood, then reversed the 138-18 route back down into the smog. Home by 11:00am or so.

I must have just missed the rare and incredible sight of beautiful NSX’s deep in the IE. My loss. Then again, we did have most of the road all to ourselves that morning
