3.6L ScienceofSpeed Engine (NA Stroker)

Damn right, that engine bay is just embarrassing. The only nice part is the awesome powder coating on the intake mani cover and valve covers.

Quoted for truf. ;)

Here ya go - its on its way. Should be there early next week.

Sheesh. Comparing the two, the current alternator does look u-g-l-y. It aint' got no alibi...it's ugly. Yeah...yeah, it's ugly.

A new addition to replace the ick version installed there now:

Thanks David.

Picked this up from TC whose 3.0L C30 that makes more power than my 3.6L. :( It's a modified NSX intake manifold w/ a 90's ZR1 throttle body fab'd by an old Comptech master engine builder.

So I'm hoping after installation and a dyno session, this will help the engine make power over 7k. And yes, ITBs are still gonna happen. :)

Wow, can't wait to see how it does! The throttle body/intake manifold seems to be the major impediment to additional NA power on strokers...

Some vids and pics from the AX yesterday. Car performed flawlessly.

Any updates on this? and can you still get these?

Hey ediddynsx, as far as I know, this is the only one in existence. However, that doesn't mean a similar one couldn't be fab'd. Or maybe combine the new Blox TB with a matching port job?

This IM is boxed and waiting to be sent out to Swaintech for some various coatings. That's the plan though I don't know if that'll ever get done <-- planning ITBs this winter. So I may be selling it in the future though I'm still undecided.

Sheesh, I'm just now remembering that I have to take some measurements of it for greenberet.

1st of all - CONGRATS!! The car looks very impressive.

Have you tracked it yet? just curious about your impressions at Hallett!

Can't seem to get any of your vids to work....

Cool np, good luck with the ITB's.....I am excited for you and can't wait to see them on your car.

Funny you mention that. I just emailed ScienceofSpeed about the ITBs this weekend. We should have some good news by this summer.

Ponyboy,

How did that modified throttle body work, did it free up the top end?

I haven't installed it yet. Though I spoke w/ Chis at SOS this weekend and he was interested in testing it out. So maybe we'll get some dynos in a month or two. That said, I have no doubt it would free up the top end and really let the engine breath. But my heart is set on the ITBs.

there is a set of ITB's in the forsale section, but I'm sure you've seen them already

Thanks Tom. Saw those. It's an interesting layout for sure but I want to have some sort of air filtration and that looks like it'd be a challenge in and of itself.

Once it's done, I hope you'll come and take a look at it.

That guy never returned an inquiry I had for a friend so I am not sure if he is legit about those ITB's.....I had someone interested in buying them but this guy didn't really get back so good luck with that.

Dude your car will be so much nicer when you finally get that door looked at. Oh and the ITB's should be "ok" too.

That picture must have been taken before your wife saw the bill and took the VAN/family home without you. :p
