You got it: All 1991-94s (except a few 1994s I mentioned above) left the factory with black roofs and, yes: 1995 was the first year for the NSX-T. Some owners of 1991-94 NSXs have the black roofs painted body color because they feel it makes the car look newer, looks less dated than the blacked-out canopy, or some other reason.
